Our record at the end of the season is what almost EVERY one of you predicted before the season. Even better for some of you. Now you all want to complain and act like coach O didn’t do a good job. Yes we lost to Troy, but many of you pegged LSU to lose to FLA, AUB, hell even Ark and A&M. Despite their records, we could have easily lost those games and we didn’t. Give credit where it is due.

Let me remind you immature minds how difficult this season was
-extreme lack of depth on the O line (have to play 3 true freshman) very little rotation
-star rb banged up early in the season and doesn’t fully recover until the last two games
-breaking in a brand new coordinator with an offense full of young guys trying to learn one of the most challenging offenses in the nation
- replacing SIX defensive guys who are starting on their NFL teams and excelling
-losing one of the better kickers we have had in the last decade
-barely had our best defensive player in key and lost Alexander most of the season along with many suspensions

For a first year head coach, 9 wins despite all of this adversity is a damn good job. If O cleans up his PR, knocks out a huge OC hire, and holds onto Aranda, we are looking at a playoff team. But 90% of this board has made up their mind and act like triggered children the second any news comes out.

TL:DR: stop reaching, this was about as good of a season we expected, and O didn’t do that bad.

Keep telling yourself that, it makes accepting the age of mediocrity better

Also many of those preseason projections were when prognosticators thought our schedule was tough....it wasn’t, the conference was historically bad.

Funny how it was pegged as one of the hardest going into the season!

Well, he kept the ‘continuity’ for sure. It feels like Miles never left (minus the AD hemorrhaging buyout money).

Sorry, some of us ‘fans’ expect more than a 4 loss season.

Well then the season actually started and people realized many of those teams were awful. I don’t see the point you’re trying to make

When you read “fans” in quotes you automatically know everything you need to know without reading a single word.

Nope.

He did. He got a pass from 2012-2016. I was a les supporter until the end so you do not need to remind me. I’m just saying it’s ridiculous to see how our fan base is reacting after one year as head coach. With a good season at that.

Where were UGA fans when Richt left a very solid UGA roster and Kirby smart took over? He goes 8-5 with ONE quality win over Auburn. Should have lost to Nichols, lost to VANDY, Tenn, ole miss... year two now he has them rolling and a great recruiting class. but people on here say he is all everything compared to O. All I’m saying is give a chance. If he doesn’t do well next season then put him on the hot seat. It’s premature right now.

Dictating other poster's "fandom" ruins your whole post. Maybe there's a point, but you've already closed yourself off to discussion by labeling a subsection of fans, thereby, subconsciously deciding what you think they think.

What if LSU had been able to hire Tom Herman & he had the same record as Orgeron? Would these idiots be calling for Herman to be fired? Texas had a 7 -6 record which proves that it takes talent & depth at all positions for a football team to reach the final four.

The negativity on this board is hurting the schools ability to recruit top talent. Don't posters realize that potential recruits read the rant. Who wants to go to a school where everyone wants to fire the coach?

It's not really the losses. It's the way it was coached or not coached at all. It took O 5 games to figure out we weren't prepared. Devin White pretty much fixed that problem by stepping up.

Special teams total nightmare all season with little to no adjustments. The stirm and distraction between O and Canada were sophomoric. Bottom line, it's amateur hour in Tiger Stadium.

i don’t think anyone saw Florida, Tennessee, and Arkansas combining to only win 4 conference games going into this season.

It was but shot happened.
So what’s your point? 1 win against a team that had 4 losses was the best win of the year.
How do I get paid like you for starting threads like this one or pumping O.
Great smear / backstabbing politicking tactic on Miles and election campaign and now the re-election campaign.
Even rubbing elbows with the governor, the same one that used LSU football as a pawneaier in the year...
I want to make some of that money.

No because Tom Herman is clearly a competent football coach which makes it possible to look toward the future and see better days. That #1 ranked recruiting class he's brining in doesn't hurt that opinion either.

And i think you will get that, but if you expected any more than that this year than you were reaching. Replace Troy and MSU with auburn and Fla and that’s the record many thought we would have. It takes time to build a roster, get the coaches on the same page, and get young guys to grow up and be physically ready.

You expected to lose to Troy and get raped by Mississippi State?

Such a great fan you are.
