you need something large to hit the water just before you to break the surface tension. otherwise it will be like hitting concrete.

Apparently 250 feet is like 95% fatal in water.

MAXWELL SMART: Have you always been a knife thrower, Raymond?
RAYMOND: No. I started in the circus jumping 500' from a diving board into a barrel of flaming oil.
99: Wasn't that incredibly dangerous?
RAYMOND: I took steps to minimize the risks.
MAXWELL SMART: What did you do?
RAYMOND: I cut out matinees.

Stone states that jumping from 150 feet (46 metres) or higher on land, and 250 feet (76 metres) or more on water, is 95% to 98% fatal.

Not really. Just do a flip so your death will look cool.

The sudden stop is the problem, not the actual impact. The longer you can slow down your momentum, the better.

Hitting the water at 60 skiing hurts... 76 has to feel like getting hit by a car

I went and saw these lunatics in September, a little West of Dallas. Was awesome.

No it’s not. That’s a myth that makes no sense. Unless the water is frozen.

When you clear the bridge, make sure there’s no noose around your neck.

There's actually no discernible difference in falling 1500 feet or 15000 feet.
