This is as simple as Louisiana vs Texas cultures and politics.
Texas gets everything done smoothly, efficiently, and has the financial recourses to go big and get what they want.
Louisiana operates on the buddy system. Come here because O is an idiot and will let you coach however you want. Then, we also do stupid shite to step on our own toes like giving an experiment at HC a fricking buyout? Who does that?
Texas has the money to throw and Louisiana is still operating in yesteryear.

Do you find it hard to believe that if LSU is in a back and forth battle with another school for Aranda, that talking him up in the public is not a good thing to do?

There is apparently a lot of interest in Aranda from a few NFL teams
Not sure if he has even been contacted by any but thats the word thats goin around
