Agreed, I like the Chappelle stand ups where it’s a smaller crowd. That lends him to do more ad libs which I think he’s the absolute best at.

Not equally.

And not the same.

And I can’t really remember seeing Obama getting flak when some of his shite blew up. It was reported and brushed aside.

And what jabs he did get were typically “good natured” ribbing. More like joking amongst friends than anything.

You think Trump would get the same treatment if he continually violated several countries airspace for military incursions against their wishes and among their protests?

You don’t think there wouldn’t be Wall to Wall cries for impeachment if in one of these attacks, he killed an American minor who was guilty of nothing other than being in the wrong place?

Late night politics are nothing new.

I don’t think I’ve seen it this focused however. I don’t think a single day goes by that they don’t attack Trump.

Didnt find it offensive, just didn't have a ton of jokes (especially the first one). Was kind of boring compared to past specials although Dave is really good about keeping the audience glued to whatever it is he's saying.

Not to get political, but

Huh? At worst Obama got jokes like he was too nerdy, too generous, or positive "aw shucks" jokes.

Bush and Trump were hammered. What's different now though is the animosity towards a subsection of voters. And Chapelle fell into that trap as well, but at least he wasn't vicious like other comedians have been. As usual, Chapelle keeps it pretty fair.

Let's be serious - Trump lends himself to comedy more than previous presidents. Regardless of political affiliation, you have to admit that jokes are easier to write about Trump than any president since Taft, and only cause Taft was fat. And fat people are funny.

Compared to what Clinton and W got on late night shows, they definitely treated Obama with kid gloves. Trump catches a ton of shite, that is true, but he also brings some of it on himself. His need to tweet a response to every single thing said about him is ridiculous.

Clinton and W also did a lot more dumb, easily parodied shite than Obama did.

They’ll have you arrested for hate speech. The OP talks about snowflakes and Trump supporters whenever he’s on the political side of the aisle that are most closely associated with left leaning countries that will put you in jail for offending the wrong person. Can’t help but laugh at dumbasses like that.

seems pretty snowflakey (A very sensitive person. Someone who is easily hurt or offended by the statements or actions of others.) to me

Stereotypes are only funny if they're mostly accurate, and I'd say its not mostly accurate to call Trump voters poor white trash. Simple as that, and I love me some redneck jokes.

Oh, and secondly, making fun of Trump voters is kind of over the top these days. Night show hosts literally do it everyday of the week, and SNL makes fun of Trump in some capacity every Saturday. We've had Trump voter jokes for going on a year straight about now, so it would be nice to hear something new and original.

Hell, Eminem wrote a rap song about Trump. Its just old and tired and bottom of the barrel joke telling at this point.

Since when is pointing out facts crying? I love Dave Chapelle, loved him in half baked and I could care less about his view on politics. You are the one coming here to tell every Trump supporter just how much they will dislike someone who said mean things about them. Seems kind of insecure and snowflake-y to me. I’m glad you think of Trump
supporters all the time. In your mind rent free baby.
