Didn't find this offensive to any particular group.

Trump has been joked on for thirty years now. I remember the long sketch in the 80's when Donald Trump's brain was in Bill D. Cat on Bloom County.

I grew up with Trump jokes.

Now he's the president. He's the only president I've ever had whom I've known of all my life.

People have to realize he is a character in so many ways.

...There is a reason it's made fun of so much.

But you know in the late 90's it felt good when Clinton was the nightly target.

I think the media was softer on Barack though.

Softer is an understatement, they didn't touch him.

ETA: I agree about Trump, there is a ton of material there, the difference is in the comedians who you can tell are vicious and angry about him and those who recognize the absurdity of these past two years

I mean stereotypes are exaggerated for comedic effect. But you’re living in denial if you don’t think the “poor whites” as Chappelle calls them carried the day. It doesn’t mean all Trump supporters are poor whites. Just like not all Obama supporters were black.

But his joke, and the joke was a very accurate reflection of what pollsters and stats say happened in the last three elections, was that the elections were carried by large amounts of people who normally don’t vote voting in droves. And that it was obvious who was turning out by just showing up to the polling station. In the Obama elections it was all the minorities. In the Trump election it was a bunch of “poor whites.” The habitual voters stayed roughly the same on both sides, it was the fringe voters who came out and swung elections.

And the fringe voters for trump were poor uneducated whites. Where he has vastly more support than any president in recent memory. That’s just a fact. And Chappelles, “of all the whites, the poor whites have always been my least favorite” line was one of his best of the show.

Followed closely by “bitch you can’t hang up a phone?” People on here are bitching about his trump stuff and the liberal SJW blogs are bitching about his Caitlyn Jenner and Louis CK stuff. Pretty good indication he was far, and pretty spot on in most of his analysis. Also shows who can’t take a joke against their side

If you as a conservative or Trump suppprter got offended or upset about these two specials then you need to stop watching comedy. Chappelle was as neutral and as equal opportunity a ridiculer as you will see. He spent more time ridiculing Hilary and transgender people and Asians and #metoo’ers than he did Trump and Trump supporters. You won’t get more favorable material unless Rush Limbaugh decides to pick up the mic

loved both. The first was more laugh out loud but the second was great too. I love the conversational nature of it

Eh, the first part was bereft of jokes. Wasn't bad, but I only LOL'ed once or twice. That crowd would laugh at any Trump joke no matter how good.

I was surprised he didn't see the connection between his stated reason he was quitting comedy and one of the reasons Trump was elected.

BTW, I seriously doubt there were a lot of "poor white trash" at his polling place.

Full disclosure** I did not vote for Trump.

I don't know he did mention in the second one about living around them with his "squint our eyes and stand next to mom" joke. He wasn't on the Trump storyline at that time

Doesn't he live in some shite hole in Ohio? He probably has poor white people there. The youtube video of him talking at his city council looked like a Chalmette Council.

I watched them both. I didn't find the Trump jokes really that clever. I enjoy a good Trump joke, even as a supporter. I just didn't find those hit their mark.

The "he's fighting for me" line made it pretty funny.

He lives on a 65 acre farm in Bumfrick, Ohio. Yes, he is surrounded by poor and working class white people.

And really hits them where it hurts by saying a politician pandered to them, lied to them. . .

Please can we retire “snowflakes”? It’s been run into the ground once the liberals started using it.

That was my thought as well. If you’re gonna make Trump jokes, be funny. He said two jokes that I laughed at.

I just watched his specials on netflix and thought his routine was ok on each of them. Not as funny as his stuff from back in the day. None of the trump stuff, transgender stuff bothered me, some of it was funny. Only thing I didn’t like was the p***y juice bit that seemed to go on forever.
