There is nothing you can say that will make him change. He probably thinks that since you are not "down" you just don't understand.

I am a fan of hip hop music and I will use the current "slang", but not in professional settings and a lot of time I say it sort of in a jokingly way. With that said, I also listen to country, rock, classic rock, alternative, R&B, Pop, etc. I just like music, but back to my point.

When it comes to people like him, there are just people who wants to fit into a certain "culture". It's like the dudes who never had an interaction with a horse, never did any type of physical outdoors labor in their life, yet all of a sudden they are "cowboys".

I guess it's like with anything else, people want to be part of a group or wants to be identified a certain way.

If your sister loves him and he is good to her, then just accept it for what it is.
