ULM beat Bama.
UAB beat us.
I guarantee You the LSU team O got was better than the 2000 LSU and 2007 Bama teams Saban got.

I'll take that luck, and it gave O a chance to get settled in. Maybe next season we can find even more excuses to explain wins. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)

This didn't happen.
When you make your excuses for O, at least make them factual.

no but I seem to recall Lord Saban losing to a crappy team at LSU and at Bama too.

Don’t compare us to bama moron. We aren’t in the same strastophere.

maybe we shouldn't count it then. he should never be credited with anything positive anyway; after all, he's just a dumb shrimp boat captain that knows nothing but gumbo.

Towards the end we were playing really well. Sure we weren't exactly playing murderers' row but we covered the spread in just about every game down the stretch and had a gut check comeback against a really good Auburn team. Dunno what more you want from him, he doesn't make the schedule.
I do agree that next year will be a true litmus test because now he has a full year as the true head coach under his belt and has had enough recruiting time to get enough of his guys in place.
First year head coaching jobs rarely turn into some juggernaut team from the get go. There's highs and lows and growing pains. We went through that at the beginning of the year and towards the end of the year we definitely grew a lot as a team. We play like we did at the end of the year and that Troy loss doesn't happen and the MSU game may be way different, even Bama had to pull one out their arse against them.
Talk shite as much as you want, the progression throughout the year was impressive, especially if we end it with a good win against ND who blew out the Pac-12 champ and barely lost to the SEC champ. We start off against a good Miami team next year, let's just see how it plays out.
