Okay. I guess for once I want to drop the machismo act.

I recently broke up with my now ex girlfriend. We've been together for over 6 years. (I predicted the break up was happening soon and bought no gifts).

We both were taking very different paths in life. And in hindsight i should have seen it coming with her growing affinity for 3rd wave feminist ideology.

It has been a really tough time for me. I know its part of life, but it still hurts.

I know I have to get back in the game, but I'm debating between jumping in too early or taking the risk as always. I can get dates, but I'm at a point where my desire for having stability is at war with my penchant for "playing the field".

Slightly inspired by Geuaxmedic, I think venting helps relieve the stress.

I KNOW I'm going to get grilled on this board. So come at me with your worst guys.

If you have a heart, any encouragement is appreciated.

Gotta let it burn

And find some healthy hobbies to take your mind off of it.

Best way to get over someone is to get on top of someone else

Actually the worst response would be none. That’d be sad.

Get a subscription to Brazzers. That’s about the only way your arse will ever get even close to banging again.

Hobbies, copious amounts of alcohol, good friends.

When the situation arises, wrap it up and bang a stranger.

Time.

1) Don't go crawling back. Stick to your guns.

2) Breaking up follows the same grieving emotions as a death. So just allow it to happen.

Tune your radio to classic rock. No love songs.

He may be be the most uninspirational poster on this site.

Best way to deal with a breakup is to come to an anonymous message board and ask a bunch of virgins how to deal with a breakup.

I'm not going to give you shite.

You need to chill though and give you some time to get your head clear, both of em.

Then move in with your chips when you feel it's time.

Good luck.

I think Jason isbell said it best, "You say love is hell
But it's the ghost of love that's made you such a mess"
