Never in my life have I seen so many people wearing their “Church jeans” with boots.

Priests in South LA would have shat a brick back when I was growing up.

Why does the attire of the attendees matter?

I used to judge what people wore, but then I realized that made me an a-hole and I should just be happy they came

Because it’s church, not Chuck E Cheese.

Jeans/boots is my normal church garb. Today included.

Priests in the TX Panhandle would have shat a brick if you weren't wearing jeans and boots to church.

Like people in LA have nicer pants than church jeans.

Sounds like you should have spent a little more time listening to what was being said and a little less time worrying about what people are wearing. It's exactly people like you that keep people from visiting churches.

I was about to say...what if more casual clothes are the norm at your church?

I've worn jeans and a nice sweater before to Christmas Eve services at my church.

What is better...the person that is wearing jeans that goes on a regular basis because they want to go OR the person in a suit that only goes once a year because a relative dragged them along?

I try to avoid church since I don't take communion anymore. Everyone knows I'm Catholic so they look at me like I murdered someone or cheated on my wife. Still, I just everyone through and kneel back down.

Who's the better Christian, the guy who goes to church in jeans or the guy who judges those at church in jeans?

I always get nervous at the Christmas Eve services at the candle part(even though it is always one of my favorite parts).

Always feel like that will be the year that someone accidentally sets someone's hair on fire.

I enjoy the coughing fits that the incense brings.

I would love a congregation with wranglers and boots. Church jeans here are trendy jeans. Example A: a local magachurch pastor.

Incense? Yeah we don't have that at our church.
