It's pretty nice that our two best players are sophomores.
Until you remember that they're draft eligible sophomores.

So the Oregon State pedo is back on the team ?

Cabrera should be 1st team, imho.

Not sure either are in position to be just 2 year guys

Shows the gap we're working against here vs. Florida.
Florida and us play for a national title, UF wins. We end up with only 2 on a pre-season AA team the following year and they end up with 5.
We just seem to be a small step behind talent wise, OVERALL from a school like UF. It's just unfair the pitching talent they get. I dont understand how you can churn out 1st round pitcher after 1st round pitcher. Not all these guys should be making it college.

Looks like its going to be a long talentless season

I don't know how Fla and Vandy get multiple MLB caliber arms to forego draft for college.
LSU gets 1 with guys like Gausman, Nola, Lange and Hess while Fla and Vandy get double that over the same time period.
Fla pitching staff was the difference last year.

Coaching.

I can see why Vandy can get 1st round pitchers due to academic reputation and tuition cost, to a degree but, Florida not so much.

Both will be high draft threats, I also foresee them taking it down to the deadline with another two years of eligibility even if drafted in the top 10 rounds.

Will they go? Hess, yes. Watson, maybe.
And that's with Watson currently having a higher grade. So yeah... both are certainly "in position" to be just 2 year guys.
