re: Coach O - PG Version

Miles was still coach for both the Wisconsin and Auburn games last year.
As I stated, this year we could’ve completely folded but we didn’t. We beat a #10 ranked Auburn team that went on to beat #1 Georgia and #1 Bama. That’s a good thing.
We finished much stronger than we started, is what I’m trying to say.
I was pretty fed up with O after the first few games but I have to give him credit for the above.

And that’s ok. I see it a little differently but whatever.

Miles got too stubborn
O may be heading that way soon

So I'm curious, what will y'all's reaction be if Alleva gives O a 500k raise to 4 million with a 3 year contract extension for being 8-4 next year? Will this fly? If so, I'm out after over a decade [went to LSU my freshman year]. frick this.

Do what?
First off, he's not going to give an extension when O is literally in his second full year as a head coach.
He has big shoes to fill, I've already said that once. He's not better than Miles but he deserves credit for the way this year ended.
Getting all worked up over what might happen next season is out of your control. Let's see how the bowl game goes and go from there.
If you're not a fan of the hire, then just say you're not a fan of the hire. It's pretty simple.

Miles had the program plateaued for a few years. The progression curve was peaked for a while.
Coach O HAS a job.
Less doesn't.
Digest that!

HEMUST BEAT BAMA
Very simple. Les was a good coach, maybe even great. But like many greats, he refused to change while the game was changing. To me a hall of fame GOAT coach sees trends coming before others and he adapts his game plan , recruiting, etc accordingly.
Les is Les. We had great years with him at the helm. Years where he would’ve won 2-3 championships had he been able to evolve with the game.
Not to mention his inexcusable clock troubles.
Right now O is still an unknown variable. He had a good (enough) season. He has had a hand in recruiting some of the young talent we have. Still all of O’s success won’t be measured by a decent bowl game victory and a 9-3 regular season.
O’s success will be based on a few things. First he’s GOT to recruit more 4/5 stars, with that he’s got to make them believe HE IS THE GUY. That will show in the spring, getting guys in shape, getting players to “buy in”. Second he’s got to let Canada and Aranda do there thing. I don’t subscribe to rumors, people talk though. He isn’t or wasn’t getting along wi h Canada or Ensmimger. That BS has to stop right the heck now.,same rumors say he’s getting along better with both. Third he has to choose a QB, and make the right choice. That will be the rise or fall of the LSU program. We’ve all seen the stupidity that. Omen from playing two very different QBs. We are in a similar situation now with Brennan and Narcisse(spelling), pick one, stick with him until it doesn’t make sense. Bench the other, NEVER TAKE THE OTHER OFF THE BENCH.
I will state this one more time. He (bold. underlined, in red, highlighted) HE MUST BEAT BAMA.
Get all that done, we got ourselves a dang good coach.

I'm not going to judge O based on future. All we have is now. He has done a great job all around. How many Offensive records were broken last year with Les's system and players? O did what Les failed miserably to do. What has happened since the Troy loss is incredible. A ton of freshman with great experience and accolades. The only thing in O's way is a tough schedule next year. Conquering that will make him great.

As someone previously mentioned, less was not hired by a power 5 conference team; but by his own admission, stated that he has received no offers from ANY college football program. Did we bash him so badly that even a fcs team wouldn’t want him, or did he do that to himself?

Unreal to me that some people are still loyal to Miles' dumb arse.

By this theory, you must apply it to Miles as well. This results in any win by either Miles or O was due to cordinators, any loss was due to Miles or O meddling in the Offense correct?

We’ve already heard all the discussions. If you haven’t formed an opinion at this point, you’re an obnoxious baseball or basketball diehard who puts football last.

Damn dude, so you are saying you blame Aranda for giving up 37 to MS St and 24 to Troy>
The most points given up all season were in those two games.
