This is on sale at a Costco in San Jose. Can't recall ever running across at in the one in Baton Rouge.
Can't imagine how that could taste so good as to be worth that much.

I bought a couple yesterday. Not bad with a splash of Coca Cola

I'm trying to figure out how Costco justifies having that much money tied up in 1 item. I wonder what their cost on it is. Also, I wonder how many they have sold.

Heresy. You need to use store brand ginger ale. I prefer Publix.

I've drank Balvenie 50, which starts at $32,000
Saw it about a month ago at Specs in Dallas for $40,000

Worth that much money?

It was the most interesting Scotch I've ever had. Tasted like nothing I've ever tasted. It sat in a Sherry butt for 50 years straight.
It was earthy, almost mushroomy, in a pleasant way. Stuck with me for an hour after I drank it.
NOTHING is worth that much money, unless it makes you fly![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Better or worse than Old Forester 100 proof? That's my go to. I can tell the difference between that and something twice as much, but not enough to justify it on a go to.

Most expensive I’ve seen was a bottle in the LAX international terminal for $64,000 about 4 years ago ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/icons/surprised.gif)

The top ones are more about the bottle than the product.
Nice to see my Dalmore there. The constellation series is super expensive.
Once you start aging 18+ years all the way to 50 and above like some of these, the amount of product lost justifies the high price tag. 2% lost per year.
Here is a visual representation of the color change and product loss over 30 years. As you can see, after 30 years, only about 50% of the original bottle remains.

I saw that Macallan M in a steakhouse in Miami this weekend. I think it was about 2k per pour and had half the bottle gone.
