New Roads woman cast on upcoming season of The Bachelor

Lauren Jarreau, 33, of New Roads, was announced as one of the cast members in a tweet from the Bachelor Nation twitter account
Jarreau is a recent master's degree graduate and is one of 29 hopefuls.
The women will vie for the affection of Arie Luyendyk Jr., a 36-year-old race car driver.
The show premieres on January 1.

Bless your heart if you think the whole reason they go on The Bachelor is to actually find love.
They go for the tv exposure, the trips and fancy dates, the experience, to promote themselves for a future career,etc, etc. Most likely don't actually expect to find love when they sign up for it.

I always assumed it was just to get television exposure and see if they can make some kind of D list celebrity career out of it. Not about actually finding a match.
