Actually our best case scenario is to host our Wildcard, take care of business and then travel to the Eagles and Nick Foles in the playoffs.

We are out of the #1 seed race. Philly isn't losing 2 straight. Prayers for Wentz, though. He's a solid dude and wouldn't wish that on anyone, not even Cam Newton

Eagles beat the Rams. We lost to the Rams. They likely have the tiebreaker over us now in common opponents which is the first tie breaker after records and h2h. Think we'll be playing in the wild card round of playoffs now

Win, lose or draw, I can’t wish an injury on the guy. Doubt we can catch Philly & MN has the tie breaker with the early season win. Three seed is about the best we can hope for. If it ended today, 3 get the Falcons (3 times in 5 weeks?) & 4 gets Scam Newton. We need to win out just like the others ??

The only heartache about his injury is related to football.

Why are you pretending that this is something that could threaten his quality of life?

Agreed. Anyone wishing a catastrophic injury on any player is a piece of shite & isn't worthy of the flesh their soul is embedded in.

First off, Wentz seems like a genuinely good dude. He is a passionate football player who is loved by his teammates. Secondly, karma is a bitch. Our team is dealing with enough injuries as is so to wish harm upon another player for another team is downright bullshite. The admins must be asleep at the wheel because anyone rejoicing over this deserves to banned.

I got 5 downvotes for hoping a fellow human being isn't out with a bad injury.

Look, I always say I would rather not face a team at full strength, because I want to win. If a guy is just banged up and can't play that week, I'm ok with that.

But I never wish someone to have a bad injury. That's just shitty.

No it won't but it's a heartbreaking injury for a player & team who put in a lot of hard work throughout the year only to watch it go up in smoke on one play.

Not only that but it's so easy to say he will have surgery to get it fixed like he is a piece of meat. I would love to see you have the same surgery & extensive post rehab then see how you feel afterwards. I don't care that Wentz plays for an opposing team. I respect what he does. So many tough guys on here yet they would whine like a lil bitch if this happened to them.

People are so over reactionary these days.

No one here caused the injury, but our team will likely benefit from it.

Its ok to be happy that the Saints chances for success improved at another team's expense.

True pride dictates that you face the best they've got with the best you've got. I would be very disappointed to face the Patriots in the Super Bowl if Tom Brady wasn't at least starting. A hollow victory just doesn't taste as sweet.

frick that. I would rather the best chance to win. A super bowl win is a super bowl win regardless if it’s against Tom Brady or Cleo Lemon

So would be just as satisfied beating the worst vs. beating the best. Says a lot.

Nope.

Just want to win.

Its hard as hell to win a Super Bowl. I'll take it any way i can get it and want the easiest road possible.

13 of the 32 NFL franchises have never won a Super Bowl.

That's football. I for one am glad he's out because it helps our chances tremendously. I wouldn't have hoped for it, or cheered for it, but I don't see why I have to pretend I'm not happy that he's out.

Apparently, I respect what he does more than you because I think he's totally capable of putting in the time and energy it takes to return to form. It's an unfortunate part of the game.

It feels like you've gone from "Don't cheer for an injury" to "We have to pretend that we aren't happy that the Eagles are a lesser team, now." I'd never cheer an injury, but I'm happy the Saints are in a better spot. The Eagles with Wentz on the road was going to be a long shot. The Eagles with Foles is a much more doable scenario.
