Harold Joiner v Pooka Williams

Who do you take? We've already signed two backs and signing two more would be a little heavy considering the RB field in the '19 cycle (Cain, Emery Jr., Davis, etc). So who would you prefer we pursue and sign?
I understand that pooka is a stud and the 3 stars probably have more to do with academics than talent... however I've never seen Pooka play and I know joiner is a top 5 RB who's academically eligible so I would probably prefer him.

We haven't signed any backs. Early signing period starts December 20.
None of the backs in this class seem that great to me, so I'd probably roll the dice on Pooka over Joiner. CEH is really good and hopefully Brosette can have a solid senior year. I'm not panicking about the running back position in the least.

I'd choose Joiner, Pooka seems destined for Kansas based and Joiner is more of the prototypical bruiser we need. Pooka, CEH, and Provens all have very similar skill sets and I don't think we would be lacking in the scat back department if we don't sign pooka

Time will tell, but I think you're going to be wrong about this one.
To me, dude looks like an every down back, who just doesn't happen to be very tall.

I want them both. They have different styles and will compliment each other. If I had to choose one I would choose Joiner.

I’ve watched Pooka play in person and he’s ridiculous. He makes defenses look stupid. If I had to choose between the two it would be him.
I like Joiner a lot though and I would take them both if it were an option.

I’m sorry but CEH is not an every down back.

And in the redzone I'll take a short guy all day as long as he's got the right mentality and lower leg strength. That's why Dunn was a good redzone back (and he could catch). CEH will have his chance to prove the mentality.
As for the OP's question, leaving any grade risks out of it, if I had to choose, I'm going to say Joiner.

CEH = MJD
Maurice Jones Drew! Watch and see.

CEH is short and built like a tank at almost 220 pounds. If he was 6 ft, he would be 245. Definitely not a scat back

I think you're going to like CEH a lot. The kid's got skills.

Since you never saw pooka play. I advise you to go watch his game next Saturday!

Unless you have seen Pooka play, you can’t make a valid judgement. This kid is unbelievable.

If/when Pooka commits, he will be the best back in the class
Posted on 12/4/17 at 7:41 am to Brageous
Well we can take both since we have a coach who won't give out scholarships to 15 safeties, 2 australian punters and a long snapper.

I’d drop provens and take both. Lsu has to get a joiner type back but they also need pooka.

Neither; would prefer a grad transfer for 1 year to bridge to the 2019 class. Numbers are gonna be very tight, use that spot for a QB.
