No end in sight.
Why would he end it! He is having access to lots of money and having a good time with it.
i wonder what these office supplies are!

Honestly I’m surprised it’s not way more than that

Oh it is... it "tops" 5 mill - this pretty much leaves the high end wide open

Man it must be nice to be a government employee like that. Push some papers around, send a leak every month or so to look like you are working. Get you and your friends paid.

I am always amazed at the absolute inefficiency of our government
why the frick does it cost so much for them to do anything?

And it would be political suicide for you to be fired by the only people who have the power to do it.
It's good to be Robbin' Bob Mueller.

Drop in the bucket. The Stanford Receivership (Stanford Ponzi Scheme) has billed something on the order of $46M attorney fees to get 3 pennies on the dollars back to investors. Due to the SEC, FINRA and SIPC playing with themselves and watching porn on their computers at tax payer expense.

$5 million+ and not one new crime has been found. Flynn lied to the FBI during the transition. The DOJ could handle that in it's normal operations. Then the charges against Manafort are unrelated to the election. What worthless government agency dropped the ball on that? Who else is out there committing that same crime? Obviously, it isn't being enforced or is being very selectively enforced. Regardless, both of those could've been handled without one additional dollar in tax payer money.

Because they're government employees, lawyers even worse, that know the law of what they can and can not get paid for. Mostly learned while investigating others for screwing up on the same basis.

House Benghazi investigation cost $7.8 million and lasted 28 months. In addition it has been estimated that the State Department spent $14 million producing documents requested by the committee. That's $22 million for a dry well.
Report
So far, Mueller has obtained two convictions and two indictments.

Only 2 convictions after one year? Not a good track record.

The issue is for what.
You can hire a special counsel, investigate gov officials and get shite load of conditions for stuff like that.

By Bucky's logic, we need to give the Louisiana sheriffs and district attorneys more money for their hard earned conviction rates.

Don't forget Obama had to install Cummings, Schiff and a couple of other dumbass dems to obstruct and run interference...not to mention his DOJ led by Lynch did not in the least bit cooperate. Why did Obama have to do that? There's where the excess cost lies on that attempt at a investigation fricked up by the dems...imagine that.
