Why is absolutely every couple in today’s commercials an interracial couple?

Literally every commercial has an interracial couple in it.

I know 1 interracial couple. Not saying that I care one way or the other but it's not exactly common in South Louisiana

I've noticed it as well. If it's not an interracial couple, it's always some racially ambiguous character.

Companies are always trying to keep up with what they believe to be the incoming social norm in order to push sales. They're being inclusive as a means of lining their pockets. Same goes for the gender ambiguous kid on the new IPad commercial.
