Could we get him an insurance plan like we did with Fournette? I think that scenario might be in his best interest. Gets to pad up stats next year and be one of the true best RB’s LSU has ever had. Would higher his draft stock and if he got hurt he’d still get the money.

Playing RB for free longer than you have to is typically never a good idea. It may have helped Williams, but that is a rare scenario. I would actually be a little upset if he stayed. There is no reason to continue taking these hits without getting paid for it.

If he comes back he stands to set the all time rushing record at LSU. But, if DG called me today and asked what he should do I would tell him go get paid. I love DG and his dedication to this team and program.

But, he should go and get paid.

Nah. There's really no professional reason for him to come back. Scouts have plenty of healthy tape on him and know what he is and what he'll bring to the table.

Jesus. Do you not think that at least one person in the athletic department had this idea? Thanks God for the Rant or Guice might have returned without insurance.

He put in 3 years of hard work on and off the field. He represented LSU very very well. He did his job. Time for him to think of himself and his family this time. Go enjoy the NFL and get paid. LSU will be fine.

I was shocked to see Warrick Dunn stay and his situation at home was much more dire than Guice’s. Wouldn’t surprise me if he came back, but if I were him I’d head for the money.

You fricking guys don't get it. It's not about the 1st contract. Its about getting to the second. If he is drafted in the first round at around 15 he stands to make 13 million on his rookie contract. If he performs well and gets to a second contract he could get double that amount or more.

13 million sounds like a a lot but he will get half of that after taxes, agent fees etc. Dude is gone and he should be. Wish him well and be thankful that he was a Tiger.
