I thank people are thinking they kill off Cap and have Bucky (The Winter Solider) step in for him for a movie or two. No idea if that will happen though.
For some reason, one thing I'd really like to see would be a Thor/Dax arm wrestling contest. Maybe have them break a table or two like Thor and Hercules used to do in the old comics. I'm not sure the movie Dax is powered to that level though.

So did my own googling and this rumor seems to come from the fact that Chris Evans is only signed on for one more film. And the guy who plays Bucky is signed for more.

I wonder how they'll balance this with Ant-Man and Wasp coming in between parts 1 and 2. I understand Captain Marvel will be set in the 90s (although I expect her to show up at the end of this movie). Just wondering how they'll slide that in, especially if this movie ends with Thanos destroying half of the universe and the Avengers beaten down.
