What a shite show. Of course most jobs get some "no thanks" replies from potential candidates but we don't see it all play out. Tennessee's search has been a very public dumpster fire. They're seemingly down to candidate 5 on the list.

Well, the one thing you can give Currie credit for is they did the whole Schiano thing on the down low the way people say these deals need to be done.

Hard to say a guy w a mullet wouldn't have been a great fit at Tennessee.

He turned down a $3 million raise because Tennessee is such a dumpster fire.

If Tennessee is willing to pay Gundy that much why not try and swoop in and one up A&M for Jimbo?

A&M is the more attractive job imo but if it was more money and selling him on being in the East....it’s worth a shot at this point

Not so fast.... give VolNation time to tweet-shame Gundy into accepting.

Good for you Tennessee fans. You didn't want Gundy at 7 a year. The mullet isn't capable of winning in the SEC with his backyard football anyways. Let's look again.

Current season - 3 losses ; 80th in total defense

2016 - 3 losses , two of them to Central Michigan and Baylor ; total defense 106

2015- 3 straight losses to end the year ; total defense 90th

2014 - 6 losses ; 94th total defense.

Rumors of paying him like a top 3 coach. Yeah, real homerun hire here guys. Worlds better than Schiano but that's not saying a whole lot.
