If we go yet another season of not working in time to develop a QB, I will shake my head in disbelief.

This season is what it is. This game, in the grand scheme of things, does not mean much.

What it can mean is meaningful snaps for who may be the future QB of the program.

I appreciate all that Etling has done for LSU, but it is best for the program to be ready for next year.

Let Etling start and get his applause, but the VAST MAJORITY of snaps should be taken by Brennan. Sitting on the bench isn't making us better for the future.

Down vote away.....

lol prepare thy anus for great disappointment. I think the ags give us a great game, and we don't even get Brennan in for late game snaps anymore.

O has too much riding for him to throw brennan out there in a really close game, but the bigger crime was not getting him any reps against UT and Arkansas. I doubt we seem him the rest of the season

Not gonna happen. Next year when O loses 3 or 4 games (or more) hthe propaganda machine needs to be able to say we had an inexperienced QB against that tough schedule.

The one reason you don't do it now is, if you start MB, you are pretty much telling LN that the job next year is MB to lose. The last thing we need is LN to transfer, also I think he has just as good a chance at being the starter next year.

I don't think Brennan will be starting next year anyway. I think it will be Narcisse due to his ability to run.

I find it somewhat fascinating that people think one or two more games of playing time this year will somehow make or break Brennan's future.

Put the best guys out there to beat A&M. If Brennan is actually any good he'll be more than adequately prepared for his sophomore year by taking first team snaps in the spring and summer. And that's assuming that he is able to beat out a healthy Lowell Narcisse, which is not a settled issue either.

Hell in. We need to beat them by 35. Pray Bama beats AU by 49 and State loses. Get them polls shook up

A couple of things: First off-you’re wrong. It’s not about getting Brennan reps, it’s about winning the game. DE gives us the best shot to win.

Secondly, Narcisse will beat out Brennan next year to lead him this team.

Sorry

Whomever next years starter is,will have plenty of time to prepare. Between the extra practice for the bowl game. Also the spring and fall practice. aTm needs to be a win at all cost.

Edit:Let the battle be settled at that time.

It’s too late for that if they were going to do it it would have happened already. At this point just let Etling get his last win in tiger stadium

This game does mean a lot. 10 wins hasn’t been accomplished in a while. A win helps with a good bowl bid.. helps recruiting especially with The transition of losing a CFB HOF Coach and going with an unproven guy. Recruits needed to see O have a decent first season. It was crucial and he’s pretty much gotten it done. Especially if he wins sat. And wins the bowl. 10 wins will be big for O. Brennan’s gotten reps. And he will get an extra month of bowl practice. He’s had some game reps. Not a lot but enough to get his feet wet. I hope we go up big so Myles can see the field. Otherwise stick with Danny and get this win !

Clearly the coaches aren't as sky high on Brennan as this entire board. It's like they have first hand information. O said Brennan wasn't SEC ready and then he's barely played since then.

I agree with you to a point. I won't go as far as to say the game doesn't matter. But I definitely would be working Brennan in to get used to the speed of the game. Shut you dumb asses who will say that Brennan gets snaps in practice. Practice doesn't not prepare you for taking snaps under the lights in from of a 100,000 against a top notch D1 team.
