so this means it will hit the market in 2021 and will most likely not meet the expected design specs...par for the course.

Not really actually.

The subsidies were there for anyone to take, Tesla took them. Not to mention they're not the only car company taking subsidies.

What kind of government rebate can I get on a new Jeep?

None but Jeep, or anyone, could have taken the subsidy that Tesla took. And you're also acting like Tesla is the only car company getting subsidies.

I referring to the government giving citizens huge rebates to buy a luxury car. Basically funneling money directly to the companies.

My point is that it shouldn't be done, period. Your contention is that everyone is welfare babies so it is fine.

You're not very good at simple comprehension if that is what you think my point is.

Just what we need, truckers catapulting to 60 in 5 seconds. What can go wrong? How long for it to stop? I mean, awesome if this is true, but zero reason something that heavy should be that fast, considering who is driving them a lot of times. Hopefully they'd restrict them.

Your argument for them being a company that takes a absurdly high amount of direct and indirect subsidies when compared to their overall bottom line is... "Everyone takes subsidies"

20 seconds with a load.
So they would be faster than Beetles, Yugos and ElDorados but not much else.

It’s a time constraint, not a mileage. You can do 700-750 miles easy in West Texas

At some level, the distinction is nearly meaningless in this discussion

This isn't a truck that needs to worry about running out of battery before the driver runs out of energy/time. It isn't a long haul solution.

I personally like the idea of TSLA doing this truck. Slap a back on it like a local delivery truck and it is an incredible solution. Imagine a fleet of FedEx type trucks. Granted I don't know if the weight is critical when talking about local roads.

Also, it accelerates quickly, I'm assuming the top speed is sufficient as well.
