Trump ends ban on importing heads of hunted endangered elephants
Cool.
Now I know what to get my dad for the wall of his den.

Stossel vid where he talks about how using property rights the American buffalo made a comeback. Doing the same is promoting wildlife around the globe.

I’m here, just marveling at how low republicans are willing to go to defend trump. It’s scary.

This keeps heads that need to be used for scientific puriposes from getting in. If they’re already illegally killed in another country, how is that our problem?
There’s always a legitimate reason beyond the knee-jerk politicalization you libs jump to.

Well, if cow farts contribute to climate change, then I can only imagine what elephant farts are doing... Got to be something like a 7:1 ratio...

Not even clicking the link to a twisted, misinterpreted story jammed packed with innuendo, conjecture, and outrageous equivalents. Seen one - seen 'em all. Insulting. Now go do the right thing.... ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconspank.gif)

How do you defend the fact that that Obama had the same policy from 2008 to 2014
Not that I care about this decision either way. If I find a dead bald eagle, I’ll stuff it and sit it in my desk.
But come on man, you don’t see anything wrong with this post? Don’t make me call it out...

This was actually one of the biggest issues with out of work coal miners.

Am I supposed to care about this? As long as it ain't a human head, have at it!

I know that you are conditioned to think that that post was a what about but you are wrong
Point of the post is to illustrate the Ridiculousness of the article. The article wants to portray the decision as one that is impossible to defend. As if having this policy is just obvious on its face a bad idea
But that's silly because this policy is actually the normal policy and the last three years are the anomaly
One can still disagree with the decision. That's fine. But one has to recognize that they are being led to outrage where none exists. Because I highly doubt the writer or anyone sharing the article have considered that if it was so awful it's unlikely that Obama would have allowed it to continue for 6 years.
That's my problem with this kind of shite. I'm not saying but Obama had this horrible policy to. I'm saying that if you think this policy is heinous and impossible to defend you have to consider the lack of logic in that position

Additionally. This is a lot like when Trump overturned policies that Obama signed to become effective after he left office
You can't run around with your hair on fire acting like such a policy is an affront to humankind when you didn't have shite to say about it before.

Bad decision if any federal officers ever visit your office.

We are supporting Obama. He had the same policy.

Are the elephants any less dead?
In all seriousness, I'm generally against hunting of elephants. Having said that, the absolute best way to save them is to have someone have ownership of them, to literally shepherd and conserve them - and to monetize these, will necessarily have to allow big game hunting.
"Free range" elephants are already being killed to fuel the Asian homeopathic "medicine" industry. If you want them killed all the way, go ahead and keep doing things like banning all hunting/use/exploitation of the resource via legal means.

I'm sure the dna of elephants is on file somewhere, and the anatomy of elephants was no doubt dissected a long time ago.
Probably no scientific use whatsoever at this point.
You know, "Stop! We have reached the limits of what rectal probing can teach us."
