The problem with your argument and seemingly comparing O to an Urban meyer, Dabo, or Stoops is that they all have a history of success in every stop. O...not so much.

Dinardo did some really good recruting and was able to get some guys to stay home and play at LSU. He did some very good things early in his tenure. But keeping Tepper around cost him. There were some good players here when Saban came.

The reality of the situation is that O has 4 years. If we don’t win an SEC title or at least make an appearance then he won’t make it to year 5.

O’s job is completely dependent on the development of Myles Brennan or Lowell Narcisse.

Hell yeah I'll accept. Going 10-2 with next years schedule will be enough for me to buy in actually.

What side of the ball are Urban Meyer and Dabo elite on? What side was Bobby Bowden elite on? Bob Stoops was supposedly elite on defense but had not had an elite defense in at least 7 years before he retired.

Meyer - offense
Dabo - offense
Bowden - offense
Stoops - defense

But keep comparing freaking Orgeron to NC winning coaches. That'll help prove your point.

This is such a myth. O inherited a team that could easily be 9-1 right now.

I have a counter question though. If O does win a natty within three years do his critics accept him?

Are you new here? People still didn't like Saban after winning a NC because they hated Jimbo's offense, and Les only won a NC with Saban's recruits. Tigerdroppings is only happy if LSU wins a NC and the coach gets fired, because it's never damn good enough.

No, but you are. O inherited the best recruiting stretch in LSU history.

3 top 5 classes in '14, '15 and '16, plus O had been on campus since january 2015. he didn't walk into this blindfolded like he was swatting at a pinata.

While Miles had highly ranked recruiting classes, they had huge holes at certain positions. Saban basically recruits a whole team every year which is why their depth is so good. We have a surplus at DB, TE and FB, but were very short in QB, LB, DL and OL. Because of attrition and injuries our line on both sides of the ball were in bad shape early in the year. The d line has gotten player back and is doing well. Canada has done well to spread out the defenses allowing our o line to perform much better.

stop perpetuating this narrative.

LSU has 5 scholarship QBs on its roster, and that was AFTER losing Harris and Scott in the offseason.

DL would be in better shape if shelvin wasnt academically ineligible.

OL had 5 people transfer out, but all in the last 11 months. thats under Os watch, dont blame Les for that.

the ONLY thing you can put on Les is that the LB corps was woefully thin and credit to O for shoring it up with the 2017 class. but other than that you are simply regurgitating this narrative that has been plaguing this site for almost a year now.

O inherited a team on the decline while Miles inherited a program on the rise

13-5 for O in his first 18
15-3 for Miles
