unexpected for sure but in the NFL teams can get good or bad at the drop of a hat so not off the charts unexpected.

6 of the 7 QBs they've faced have been really bad, inexperienced or injured. Tyrod was the best QB they faced and the Bills aren't built to come back throwing the ball. The Saints defense will drop a bit with the Skins, Rams and Falcons coming up but confidence has played a HUGE role in the turnaround.
First two games are against teams that are also 14-4

They have benefitted from playing a few god awful QBs in that span. Only Stafford was good.
But still, a remarkable turnaround.

He came into the game hurt and wasn't efficient, same with Winston.
Cam was coming off the week of losing his best pass catcher in Olsen. They've definitely caught some breaks but they're playing with confidence and that's helped.

Scam is not a bad qb either and they are 6-3.
Doesn’t matter tho everyone will thinkthe saints are bad until they boat race the patriots or something. We’ll see how the season plays out but this team looks GOOOOOD.

They haven’t played too many vaunted passing attacks. Tbt with as well as they are playing i still gotta put them fourth best in the NFC.

I mean we've been trying to build a defense with high draft picks for years. Finally hitting on some.
To me the biggest sign of improvement is the tackling. Holy hell its like night and day.

Jared Goff was the second coming of JaMarcus Russell in the off-season and he might be the 2nd or 3rd best QB in the NFC as we speak.
That's a bigger shock.

Behind Philly, LA, and Minnesota? It's not like the rams played much passing attacks in their 7 either.
I would agree, I just think people give the rams this benefit but the Saints don't get the same to some

this is true...but Saints D of the past 5 years had a knack for making every QB look like a HOFer.

We made Goff look like Brady in his what, 2nd start? The same Goff that people wondered if he was a bust by years end.
Lol...

Yea, gotta put the other squads ahead for now.

If you combine the eagles & rams wins they have one signature victory, when the rams beat Dallas. Otherwise they've played no one. Both their QBs have been opportunistic but at end of the day 2nd year pros a few bad passes from being sub 60% QBs. That dog doesn't eat in January

Based on?
Let's see that in depth analysis.

saints haven’t really beaten a good squad. They damn near lost to a rookie truabiksy if it wasn’t for a blown call on the td to Miller. Caught Winston hurt badly. Caught Stafford banged up bad bad. Hundley was QB for Green Bay. Etc etc. They have gotten Extremely fortunate and lucky. Which if you remember happened in the super bowl year too. They faced garbage qb after garbage qb.
