I thinks it's disrespectful to our troops that serve. I lost a family member in Iraq... so frick Eric Reed, if that makes me pathetic then so be it

You're taking it wayyyyy too personally. He and a bunch of other players have a problem with being forced to stand for the anthem of a nation that they feel is rife with injustice. It has nothing to do with disrespecting soldiers.

And what were they ALL doing in terms of money and actions b4 it became fashionable to kneel? NOTHING! Bunch of rich, spoiled and coddled hypocrites. I came from nothing, began burdened with student debt and have emerged. I don't hear these rich pansies crying one bit. NOBODY gave me anything.

He's taking it way too personally. A relatively few bad apples or misjudgements by police officers does not make the country my great grandfather fought and died for rife with injustice and worthy of blatant disrespect. You don't let someone disrespect you in your own home do you?

Oh btw he's living a life most only dream of.

+1

I’m still wondering when the American flag came to solely represent the military. Of course it represents them, but it represents everyone else, as well. Meanwhile, those who are the most incensed by the gesture are very often the same people who gleefully disrespect the flag by using napkins imprinted with the Stars and Stripes to wipe their mouths, bandanas to wick the sweat away from their foreheads, etc. The hypocracy of hating a simple demonstration versus desecrating it on a daily basis is absolutely staggering.

Ahh there it is. Knew this was coming. 50% of the murders in this country are committed by a race that is only 13% of the population. Because cops, and mainly white cops, cause them to do it? Give me a break.

They can protest about their issues whenever the frick they want. The fact that it is during the national anthem disrespects our soldiers.

I think I saw where only 3 guys kneeled today. That is out of like 1,600 players. So it's pretty much over. Reid is going to be the last one and it is just a cry for attention or maybe he just can't let it go. I don't think this ends well for him..

Fck E. Reid. Disrespectful attention whore is no better than the original shite starter himself. I hope that both of their asses end up unemployed so they've got more free time to help out with the cause.

So let's get this straight. the guy is disrespecting MY flag and MY nation and MY military but I shouldn't take it personally?

I would argue that we aren't taking it personally enough.

ThIs the anthem of a nation that is more introspective of its social problems than any other nation on earth and is continually trying to improve. TheUSA has made incredible strides in opportunity for all even though we still have a way to go. If the NFL cannot at least acknowledge this then I have no respect for the organization and will not support it.

The ultimate show of respect that can be paid to our servicemen and veterans is not letting the freedoms they fight for become undermined and decay. By NOT taking a stand against tyranny, corruption, and repression at home we disrespect those who served and cheapen the sacrifice of those who have given their lives for our rights.

ALL those POS's that take a knee during the National Anthem are a disgrace to America. I am a very avid football fan but they made me choose between the USA & NFL so that choice was simple, USA USA USA

Then they can leave. If they feel that this country is so bad...they can leave. Good luck finding a country where they can make the money that they make playing a game that they love. There isn't a law in this country that states one race can oppress another. All those laws were changed in the 1960's. Every legal citizen of this country has the same opportunities to pursue whatever employment they want. If they can not get said employment, our country pays for their housing, food, utilities etc...this is the greatest country in the world, frick those who think otherwise.
