You're correct. The government isn't prosecuting him for his protest. Disagreeing with him on a message board is perfectly fine too.
My issue this entire time has been the selective outrage about the anthem/flag. As I mentioned earlier, you cannot have a problem with Reid's actions while ignoring an entire stadium saying "home of the Tigers." You can think the logic behind his protest is poor - which I do - but I'm not going to lose my mind about it.

Then it sounds like your issue should be with Eric Reid then, since he is deliberately trying to make it an issue. If you don't care that he's kneeling, then cool.
