Don't watch the NFL anymore. I must have missed their latest shenanigans.

People are finally ignoring it, taking away the effectiveness of that form of “protest.”

Kneeling is so last month, trucks and guns is the new kneeling.

Some of us don't care about the NFL. I have kids in sports. I watched lacrosse tournament play yesterday and today. My son's team won two matches yesterday by 18-5 and today by 19-3 and he scored three of those. Much more fulfilling that sitting in front of a television watching overpaid fat asses, crappy officiating and a hundred beer, car, pizza and insurance commercials.

But good for you. I remember when I didn't have a life outside what television told me I should do, too.

Most of them are 0-7, so not threats at the moment

On a related matter I must say that the NFL's "Salute to Service" initiative is a very positive development and signals to me that the NFL is working very hard to publicize their vocal and financial support to veterans.

This is not new. The Pentagon has been subsidizing the NFL for a while now, glorifying perpetual war. Having said that, I support the hard working Americans in the NFL. They are truly special folks. Few could do their jobs.
