I have mixed opinions about the death penalty. I really don't trust our system in Louisiana too much and would hate for an innocent man to go to his death at the hands of the State--hate to see get any prison time either as far as that goes.

Then I read about bastards like John Battaglia.

Execution date set for John Battaglia, who killed his daughters as their mother listened on phone

quote:

Battaglia shot and killed 9-year-old Faith and 6-year-old Liberty in an act of revenge against his ex-wife.
"No, Daddy! Don't do it!" Faith pleaded, seconds before her father pulled the trigger.

I could pull the trigger for the State of Texas on this guy if they need a volunteer. I can't believe I would think like that about anyone.

There needs to be a true Pit of Misery for which John Battaglia to reside in....with Sir Brad as the warden and Vlad the Impaler delivering the final punishment

The question is why has he been allowed to live for the last 16 years. He should've been executed a long time ago. And not lethal injection. That bastard should die a slow and painful death. Like a death sentence that would've been handed out for treason in medieval times or a Kim Jong Un type punishment.

My little girl is 9.

Think I'm going to go home and just hold her for a while.

This one makes me rethink my position on the death penalty, but then I think of Cameron Todd Willingham. As long as the system is that flawed death penalty shouldnt be an option.

Battaglia keeps getting his date postponed as he's convinced enough people that he's too nuts to be put down.

I follow this case mainly because he previously held a Texas CPA license (same state where I hold mine). We're still waiting for justice, but the state board had no problem permanently revoking his license:

I don't care how they kill him, but they should flay him, first.

Painless and quick death is too good for him.
