To the people downplaying this story, you need to read up on the podesta group. It very well may be the most famous, well-connected lobbying group in all of DC. ony Podesta himself is a YUGE figure in the DC lobbying world.

Him stepping down is very big news.

As right wing hack politico journalist notes:

Podesta is a lobbying giant in Washington. His stepping aside — as scooped by none other than @apalmerdc — is huge.

Guess who Manafort was working with at the time?
The Podesta Group.

These people are too good to be true. I bet they all live in the same halfway house and coordinate this shite

It turns out Hannity might have been right all along.

I've been waiting to see what his bombshell is.

It couldn't be Manafort only.

Hillary Clinton's campaign manager's brother steps down from his job after being placed under investigation last week (that was the real bombshell, FWIW) and the worlds on fire?

It's getting us closer to the link we all believe is there, which is that HRC's campaign was far more tied to any Russian meddling than was Trump's. The Fusion angle is where I think this whole "Muh Russians" narrative falls off the tracks for the Left.

If that can be tied to John Podesta through The Podesta Group, then at the very least it makes it look like Manafort was a Podesta plant and this whole dossier thing was sour-grapes politics that backfired in the most spectacular manner in the history of US politics.

Dumb libtards still don’t get it.

Us trumpkins knew Manafort was a scumbag. Trump fired him did he not? His indictment has nothing to do with the election.
His crimes should be punished but it’s ludicrous for it to happen in this investigation.

Podesta is the one that will bring this whole thing down. Now let’s see how much CNN talks about this one...

Here's a great breakdown of it by a liberal Abby Martin. They've had their claws into nearly everything in DC.

Honestly man, and this is NOT excusing manafort....

there are probably hundreds of paul manaforts working for DC lobbying firms right now. He isn't some exception. He is probably more the norm.

Lot of reaching in there, man. The SC is filing indictments. As I said before, the optics phase has passed. There's going to be more "law" and less "politics" to this going forward. If the Podesta group broke the law, hopefully they get smashed. But this is more than a media game now and competing narratives in the press don't seem to be much of an influence on Mueller's investigation.

At the end of this, two campaign managers and some low level staffers will get hit with some underwhelming charges and sentences.

Consider me let down in advance of the official letdown.
