The notion that most kids that commit eventually decommit is just not true. Getting an early commitment significantly improves your chances, and by and large the kids word means something. We focus on the rare exceptions and the kids that commit 3-4 times. The good kids that never waiver, most of them, never get a thread.
I agree it’s frustrating sometimes when players de-commit, but I’m always excited when a young blue chip wants to become a Tiger!
Welcome aboard this crazy train Mr. Evans. Nothing like being a LSU football player!

Finally, a Golden Tornado going to the Tigers. Home town guy. Welcome to the Tiger Nation.
Who was the last Haynesville kid to play for LSU? I can't remember. Great little program they have up there

I don't think there's ever been a kid from Haynesville play for LSU.

Beasts in the trenches is the only way we'll get back to being elite. Welcome to the tigers Joseph!

This is kid is a diamond in the rough. I'm from Haynesville and have been watching him the past 2 years. Tigers got a good one. Strong and very quick off the ball for a big man! Still not finished growing he will be around 6'3 315lbs by the time he gets to college.
I looked it up and saw where Haynesville is 7-2 on the season. Do they have other good players, is it all him, or does the competition lack?

He and Jalan Harris make for a a very stout D line. Jalan plays DE and is committed to ULM. Haynesville lost some good athletes the past couple years, but are still a solid team. They are always very well coached. This year they lack the depth that they've had in the past.

His offers will come. He has just now been discovered. It's hard to get discovered playing for a small town.

Impressive offer list
Are you insinuating Coach Eaux doesn't know about defensive linemen?
He said he had a gps and would find the best players in the country no matter where they were. This is probably just a case of Eaux outworking everybody else.

Just stop. frick.
You don't think the poster was knocking the player who just committed to LSU?
Are you upset about the commitment?

I remember Demetric.
Love the big men. Keep em coming!

I wasn't implying that most who commit early eventually de-commit, as a matter of fact the number's that do versus don't is rather low. And I'm not trying to be negative or a party pooper, or a Debbie Downer, I was just making a point that a lot can take place in the life of a sixteen or seventeen year old in a years time and a commitment today doesn't guarantee the kid will definitely sign with LSU a year later. I suppose an early commit could make an impression on other recruits and actually help LSU in their recruiting efforts even if the player renege's on their commitment. Of course that does go both ways at time's. Sometimes a late commit puts a team over their limit and they must tell a player they have no room. I know that doesn't happen very often, but it does happen. Well, it does happen at most schools, but not the U of Saban. There they just sign the kids anyway and muddle through the mire later.

That's crazy considering how long Haynesvilee has had such a good program

Welcome aboard Joseph. Let's start building that defensive wall.

I will never forget little Haynesville led Bobby Ray Tell, coming into West Monroe in 1993 and beating them. WM won the 5A state championship that year.
