Mine was, we use to go every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday back in college we got to know all of the people who worked at the establishment. Well they would allow me to buy the bottle of shots they sold for $2 normally, so I was able to walk around the bar giving shots.
Met a lot of interesting people that way for sure and still one of my favorite places even though it burned down. That Wednesday night band was pretty awesome and I remember a couple of bands making it semi-famous and getting tours as opening gigs like Addavoy.

I went nearly every Friday & Saturday in 2001-2002. Loved. My favorite bands were thirty five zero & ...blanking on the other. It had a chick singer named Ginger. ETA Janka Joe!

We’d pregame at Ichabod’s with dollar mystery shots, then head over to the Caterie til closing time.

I got to fill in with them on a few sets every once in a while. That used to be a real fun night in BR. Man I haven’t thought about that in years OP

Getting the Catfish Acadienne lunch special

One of the great unknown treasures of BR -- absolutely delicious

Addavoy is actually getting back together... I can't remember the other bands that became semi-famous, I know one was from Mandeville

And largely responsible for the tinnitus I experience. But man were those days fun.

Kirk Holder on Tuesdays, and in later years Zaemon and Allison Collins. BR actually had a nice little live music scene then.

Eat lunch in the front in the daytime.

Come back for music and beverages later that night.

Somehow get back to my Southdowns house safely (walk? other?)

When the shopping center burned, the pages from Claitor's legal bookstore landed in my neighbor's yard. I still remember the image of them turning to dust when we would reach down to pick them up.

Monday nights used to be $2 wells and 8 bucks later you weren't driving home......so then you go get a nice blt!

Side note: I saw the molly ringwalds there a couple of times and it must have been before they got really big because Caterie was not a big place.

I liked how they passed the indoor smoking band in Baton Rouge and not a single frick was given by the Caterie.

They never stopped smoking in that place.

Watched famous piece of shite Rahim Alem try to fight half the bar in 2008.

Stopped going when I went there to do some HVAC work once and got lost in the rape tunnels surrounding that building.

Was going to meet some friends there once and brought a chick. Turns out she taught 3 of them in high school. My friends are still getting mileage off that one.

In the early/mid 80’s, The Shoes were a Beatles/60’s cover band and they were great fun. When they played with the female lead singer, the were called The Socks (if my memory is correct).

For lunch, they had a great burger, my favorite in town. The called it Cheeseburger in Paradise.

Scariest memory was watching Katrina's cone if doom center over New Orleans as a Cat 5 that Friday night. Scary/drunk weekend.

This one time when we filmed there and I had to unplug a bunch of equipment and the plugs were covered in grease and I was like, “This place is a huge fire hazard.” Then it burned down within the year.

Yeah, that's part of the reason I stopped going after I did that HVAC work.

If you couldn't get to the front door in a fire (you couldn't, with those two tiny entrances), you were dead.

Caterie on Tuesday Nights for Liquid Jelly Monkey Love and Liquid Sand. Played pool upstairs and enjoyed beers while looking down at the band and establishing a ranking and subsequent order of attack for the search and destroy missions with the ladies down below.

Along with Southdowns, those two joints were GOAT to be able to wait until last call and then quickly identify and close with quality females. You could hang with your baws, hit the GC, strike out elsewhere or just eff off until late and then choose either/or and stop off to pull trim. Like clockwork.

Southdowns probably has the edge once I got a little older (it did have a stripper pole built into the bar and the dance floor after all), but the collegiennes loved them some Caterie when I was at LSU.
