They are rewarding soft schedules and cupcake eaters into the playoffs.

The difference is in 2007 we had two losses, this team lost to State and tied fricking Troy. I think Lsu would go, personally. That would give them three top ten wins, and likely two top four wins.

It doesn't help that a 1 loss Bama is still light years ahead of anybody else. Penn State is undefeated but let's be honest, no one takes them seriously when it comes to outside the B1G

OP, congrats on one of the dumbest posts ever on TD. And trust me, that's quite an "achievement."

if LSU beats Bama and Georgia, we will definitely go to the CFP as will either Bama or Ga. Pac 12 and Big 12 are not getting any teams in and ACC is not even a sure thing.

One game at a time. That's what the team needs to focus on and fan expectations need to stay there too and not get too far ahead. One game at a time.

If we win out and don't make the playoffs it would still be a tremendous season compared to what most people were thinking only a few short weeks ago.

Capt obviuos, I applaud your conclusion. But if we steamroll bama, Jawga, yes we have a chance. I’m thinking sugar bowl if bama and jawga win out and the seccg loser goes in also. The Georgia win over N.D. was big. Hell, where is the championship anyway?

If they win out, sec champs with wins over previously undefeateds, bama and ga, we will be thrilled. Sugar bowl will be rocking.

Who cares - this year went off the rails with the loss to Troy. We have a shitload of freshmen playing, which means we are going to be loaded up. And they are all playing great.

Care to elaborate why you feel this way? It is just topic discussion. I am sorry that you cannot contribute other than this mindless drivel that is posted on many many posts on here by simpletons like you.

No team that lost to Troy in its own house on a Saturday night deserves to be in any NC discussion. Sorry.

ETA: I meant this as a reply to the OP

As Captain Obvious, I know that if we play in the Sugar Bowl this year, we will be in the playoffs as it is a playoff bowl this year.

What about one that tied them, but fell victim to a referee crew making up rules to cover their mistakes? Do they?

If we won against BAMA and UGA in Atlanta, they wouldn't have a choice but to put us in.

not picking LSU is pretty fair.

Maybe, however if they wouldn’t pick lsu, no way they could put Bama in.

we'll only have two wins over a ranked team all year

That would be 3 wins over top 10 teams. #1, #3 (unless Ga moves up in the polls), and #10.

I'm not saying that means we make the final 4, but you have to admit that would be a pretty impressive resume. A two loss SEC champ may still sit at home. But still an impressive season.

If Georgia wins out in the regular season, and LSU wins out the regular season and LSU beats Georgia. Then LSU will get in.
