The Irwins are back!

quote:

NEW YORK — Crikey! The Irwin family is returning to television’s Animal Planet, 11 years after the death of “The Crocodile Hunter” star and family patriarch Steve Irwin.

The network said Wednesday that Irwin’s widow, Terri, and children Bindi and Robert will reappear on Animal Planet starting next year. The family has carried on Steve’s conservation work in Australia, running a zoo, a wildlife preserve and supporting projects that try to save endangered animals worldwide.

It’s still not clear what form their Animal Planet work will take. The family and network are discussing several ideas for television and digital products, said Patrice Andrews, the network’s general manager.

They better stay away from Sting rays..

Seriously, I use to like the Crocodile Hunter. You couldn't fake the kind of enthusiasm he had for what he was doing.

I use to laugh when he would come across a pile of shite from certain type of animal and he would get all excited "Crikey! Look at this Capuchin monkey dung!".

Liked the dad's shows, but can't support them. Think about the fact that they gave the Sea Shepherd organization enough jack for them to name one of their boats after him. Hell, he may have bought the whole thing, and gave it to them. Can't support eco-terrorists.

Meh.

I always thought the wife dragged the shows down. She tried too much to be like Steve and it just felt phony.
