Jura is a 10 "island" scotch that is similar to an islay. Theyre trying to be a new region of island scotches distilled just off the coast of Scotland.
My favorite is speyside though. Aberlour is my favorite.

I don't eat at all when drinking
Never eat breakfast during the week, first meal at noon
Quest bars, nut mix, yogurt, etc throughout the day
I also workout 7 days a week so I don't have to be as strict on my diet

Yeah great idea let's all go around to talking down to people you know nothing about based on a 5 second glance.
Speaking as someone who lost 120 pounds over the last 20 months with still some weight to lose I can tell you it wasn't shaming that made me do it. Also speaking as someone who understands what it actually takes to lose an enormous amount of weight naturally and keep it off isn't as simple as just putting the fork down either.
So go ahead walk up to a guy like me that lifts weights heavily 4 times a week, takes martial arts training, and has more discipline in his little pinky that you have in your whole body. Tell that guy he's a fatty fat fat because he's still working towards his goal weight and you know nothing about him. And hope he isn't having a bad day because if he is, well, you might regret your decision.

Thank you for that clarification. And I would have been successful had she not passed out first. I've since learned to better regulate the initial dosing.
For me the worst possible thing that could happen, happened. We have unprecedented access to a slate of amazing craft beer about the same time age ground my metabolism to a halt. So I find myself wanting to drink 3-4 high ABV beers a night at 300+ calories each, giving me almost my entire daily caloric intake in those few pints. Just giving up craft beer without changing my poor excercise or eating habits is good for a 10-12#/month weight loss. But damn, that sucks.

Yup. I've had Jura. Not too bad.

I'm a Balvenie guy. My usual is the 12 year Doublewood, but I have a bottle of 30 Year that I bought after my last deployment. Obviously we're talking only for special occasions for that bad boy

Same.
Well, I'll drink when I eat but not eat when I drink. Meaning.. I drink when I go out to dinner. But I don't eat if I'm specifically out drinking.

aw that's cute you care about downvoting and all. I'm so happy for you that internet popularity contests fulfill your life some much.
I guess everyone needs their own thing.

The doublewood is very good.
I sell dalmore which is technically a highland, is similar. Aged in oak and Sherry. I think it's good stuff.

I notice you're kind of angry. I know fat people get angry when they haven't eaten in like an hour or so. It's probably time for you to go stuff your fat face with fatty food.

Dalmore was actually my first Scotch. Boss at a previous job had a bottle open at our company Christmas party.
I was skeptical, because I cannot stand bourbon or Irish whiskey. Tried a sip, and that was that

Yeah I'm the same way

Oh that's awesome. The master distiller of that also makes the Jura as well.
They have a blend as well called John Barr. It's good for what it is, much better than Dewar's or Johnny Walker but I can't do blends.

Nah not angry. I just know an internet badass when I see it. You don't have balls to walk up to anyone and shame them so you get your kicks talking crap on a message board.
It's rather cute.
