c'mon, let's not try to pretend that Pelini and his brother weren't an embarrassment at times.
Carl and Bo were dickheads, who's antics on the sidelines was embarrassing. Even the biggest Huskers fans grew tired of the shite.
You can be a dickhead, while winning titles and conferences, once that stops, being a dickhead has it's limits.

Nebraska is so full of itself though. They've been nothing since they quit using steroids.

But Craig James wasn't about pressure or boosters, it was one spoiled and famous dad. That could happen almost anywhere.
Leach was getting fired even if James incident doesn't happen. Myers had enough of his antics and was gearing toward releasing him for cause. The emails between Myers, the President, Leach's agent, and some guy in Leach's corner are amazing reads.

I think any sort of drama like that is more likely at places like Nebraska. Boosters and fans pushed put pelini because they didn't like him.
Which was pretty fricking stupid on Nebreska's part.

Not like Myers is the standard for AD's though

Not anymore he is not, for sure. But the consistent lying to Tech was their out. When they were finding out he was begging for interviews and offering to pay his way to them, they had their just cause and were ready. I think after the bowl game they were going to get him, just the James incident blew up. It was much like when BC told Jag not to interview for a job and he defied them, they fired him immediately for cause.
What people forget is that Leach was not fired until he filed suit.

here's the main question though...
if it was to happen... what changes would that bring to the SAD threads?

None because NU is not in the Pac 12. There are still Sparky Spots, Cal Golden Bears, Hawt Asians, and UCLA just being stupid to cover everything up.

Wazzu has upset people before Leach got there, hell they even won something called a conference. You know things Leach has never done as a Head College Football Coach.

you're getting dangerously close to FWL point deduction territory here

Nebraska already tried experimenting with an air raid coach who didn't care about defense
His name was bill Callahan

I still think the next coach of Nebraska is whomever Tom Osborn decides is the next head coach of Nebraska. That will be unfortnate
Still, to this day will never understand why they fired Frank Solich who was winning about 75% of his games and settled for Callahan

Wasn't Nebraska a pass happy offense during his time there?
IDK, I just post what pops into my head based on instinct and cloudy recollection.
Sometimes I miss the mark but i do recall passing yards galore in his time there
