Strongly considering blowing it up and starting over in a professional and personal sense.

I'm 29, single, no kids, no debt. Just a dog and a Craigslist car.

Right now I'm in restaurant management, and it's fine, but I get more fulfillment from volunteering to coach U-12 soccer than I do from work most of the time.

I hate half-assing anything, and I'm worried I'll subconsciously slip into cruise control if I stay in this field.

I've been finding myself aimless and without goals in my personal life. I've been lifting weights and shite but the passion just isn't there.

Things that used to matter a lot don't matter as much now, and it's a weird adjustment.

I know I'm not special, and this isn't a unique situation. There are a lot of smart people who post here, so I thought I'd ask to hear some of your experiences.

At least you are recognizing this now and not 20 years later.

I see where you would think that from my post, but that department is actually pretty good lately.

Good thing about being Army National Guard. You'll get that reset button, whether you like it or not.

Do it now. The longer you wait the harder it will be to exit for many reasons.

Honestly, this sounds like depression rather than a career choice issue. Go see a shrink, a daily med might do wonders for you (and it's no big deal).

You have two choices - stay the course and continue to hate life until you hit 60, retire and say "well... I just wasted 40 years doing what I hated"

Or

Go for it. Guns blazing.

You have zero responsibility. Back yourself into a corner where the only option you have is to succeed at whatever else you want to do.

You'll find the answers as you go along.

Tons of options out there.

Since you are having relations with the opposite sex let's go this route: you need to do something dangerous. Not get yourself killed dangerous, just almost getting yourself killed dangerous.

Uuhhhhh. No question. Do it. I tried it married with kids and debt and it didn't work. You can easily make it work, but just be ready to work your arse off.
