Canada's "window dressing"

I believe it was Danielson who would absolutely not STFU about the "window dressing." It's not a gimmick offense. A gimmick, by definition, is a tactic meant to draw attention..
..so OK, not always a gimmick. On some plays I'm sure the goal is to draw attention to a set or a player.
But I would like to think Canada will take advantage of a defense who isn't making proper adjustments throughout a game. (i.e. The UF linebackers who stayed put.)
The purpose is all about misdirection and favorable matchups. It's creative and different. If our players can start executing, I do believe that Canada is exactly what LSU needs on offense.

Yet when Auburn does it, it's considered a Mickey Mouse offense

I don't give a frick what anybody calls it. I want to get the ball in the end zone.

Just sent Coach an email with your idea. Faxing to ensure it's received.

I can't judge canada's offense well when the o line is so bad and the qb is incredibly mediocre. Etling almost has no chance on longer developing passing plays cause he has to run for his life a second or 2 after the ball is snapped. We had 3 true freshman o lineman playing against experienced Florida d lineman. I don't know how you scheme around that.

Fax confirmation or it didn’t go through.

Only concern I have with Canada’s offense is between the tackles running. After six games LSU isn’t getting the interior rushing we are used to. There are not as many run lanes between the tackles or second level runs.
Outside run game is good.
Passing game is even ok. There were several receivers open during the Florida game. Etling just wasn’t seeing them or wasn’t able to get the ball to the receivers.

You scheme by doing exactly what he did. Passed to the running backs and TEs.

LSU total offense in 2017 first six games averaged 398 a game.
LSU total offense in 2015 averaged 437 a game.

I know it's tradition to have every analyst and pretend they all have vendettas against LSU. But I recall Danielson being rather complimentary of Canada's offense, saying O should let him run it. Maybe I'm confusing him with someone else.

It was obvious that O stepped away from the offense. O Learned a lesson I'm sure. When u run jets in all directions w/ different personell it opens up the power run and qb runs. If we had Lowell he would have probably rushed for a buck 50. Point is they had to defend the perimeter and focus on DW/DG so even Etling had good running lanes. Even though he won't break one just getting 4-5-6 yards at a time is enough. Goin forward Etling needs to find a little rhythm throwing. Just enough to back the D up some. Those screens to the backs & pop passes to the TE's is a start. He just needs to hit those consistently. He
Has to hit some throws early to back auburn up a bit. Otherwise it's gonna be a long day sat.

The question is will teams be able to adjust to what we are doing or will Canada have more wrinkles up his sleeve. Auburn will be s supreme test.

You also had Fournette running wild in a lot of those games in 2015.

Not enough info yet to judge Canada.
The "fire Canada" statements are unbelievable. Then again the rant will always be.

This. Numerous times I thought that play has Lowell written all over it in a year or 2.

Is LSU ready to give up some of their identity? With the spread you do have misdirection and people will start calling you softer than you use to be. Trying to trick defenses. But in the end, all you want to do is score like the big boys right? You want to see 40s and 50s on the scoreboard. Take advantage of those athletes that you have.
It won't be viewed like the smashmouth LSU fans are accustomed to seeing, but the game has changed. Only one team can be the best at running smashmouth (we know who that is right now), and only one team can be the best running the spread in any given year. Usually those 2 teams meet in the championship, or at least in the playoffs.

Narcisse fits the bill for sure. Brennan needs to be excellent or he will lose the spot.

With the spread
Canada isn't running a spread. 65% of the calls have been runs. You haven't a clue.
