Is Jackie Brown Tarantino's finest film?

I know that Pulp Fiction and the Kill Bill films are more critically acclaimed but JB is easily his most watchable film. Great soundtrack plus Robert De Niro's last great acting performance. Top notch acting by Michael Keaton, Samuel L Jackson, Pam Grier and Robert Forster. The scene where Jackson's character shoots De Niro's character is one for the time capsule.

It’s probably my second favorite Tarantino film (after pulp fiction), but PF is much better

I think it’s his best. It’s my favorite, hands down.

Pulp Fiction is his best by a large margin

I always wanted to know what QT's career would have looked like if he made more serious movies. Jackie Brown is the closest we might ever get. Easily his most mature movie.

Pulp Fiction is clearly his best imo

Pulp Fiction has that title, but Jackie Brown is still a masterpiece.

It's 2b with Reservoir Dogs being 2a for me.
It's his most fun, movie, I think - he grafted a noir story onto a heist story, with an unusual twist on the "Hooker with a heart of gold" archtype. It's extraordinarily fun to watch the characters - some of the best, overall, individual acting in any Tarantino effort, too.

Inglorious Bastards to me is easily Tarantino's best film, but Jackie Brown is pretty damn terrific in its own rights.

I didn't like Jackie Brown at all. Never felt any level of authenticity. Felt like a cheap rip off of Pulp Fiction. Did not even finish it. That was a long time ago. I should give it another try.
Pulp Fiction is his best film and a cultural icon.

I think so. It's certainly my favorite one of his.

i think Jackie Brown is tarantino's only "normal"/ straightforward movie.
Everything else is either quirky in the presentation (such as pulp fiction or resevoir dogs, which is presented from different perspectives and/or out of chronological order) or has a distinct theme behind it; either western, ww2 or samurai.
