Two years ago, the Penguins would not include Derrick Puiliot in a deal to acquire Phil Kessel due to his value to the franchise. Today, he was traded for a 4th round pick and a scrub who just cleared waivers.
Life comes at you fast. It's amazing how quickly the league turns on a prospect.

I'm just here for my yearly second round disappointment

Can I jump on the Predswagon? I mean I am a Pernell fan, which can be supported by previous post and testimony from Baloo and Bunk.

The only question that matters is will the Stars actually play defenders along with a goalie this season

I now live in Nashville as a Blues fan and experience intense sadness regularly. I can't get swept up in the excitement of the Preds bandwagon with everybody else because I'm too busy watching my team fail every season.

Adding Methot, Hanzal and Bishop between the pipes will help immensely, along with the defensive mind of Hitch

I was a Blues follower when I worked at and went to SMS. It was fun watching Fox Midwest games nightly. It always amazed me how they just never seemed to figure out how to get out of the Divisional or 2nd round.
My first Blues game was in the "Dome"/Arena I loved that Barn.

Hey, I've been pointing people to the Preds for years. It's probably the best team for a southern college football fan to root for.

Hitchcock is definitely one of the better defensive coaches in the league and I think they did well adding a couple of defensemen.
I think Bishop might be on the permanent decline though unfortunately. He's a St. Louisian and a good dude.
Either way I think the Stars will definitely make the playoffs. Both of the wild card teams will come from the central. The pacific is bad outside of Edmonton, Anaheim and maybe Calgary.

Only reason I would be a Predwagon guy is because of Pernell.

The only excitement we really have in Detroit is the new stadium.

new stadium.
Will they give away free slices to first 10,000 in the building?

Dallas crushes. I was just bullshittin' when i said that last year. But this year I mean it

Coyotes have 3 rookies, 7 guys on ELC's, 11 guys under 25, and 8 guys under 22 amongst their 14 forwards.
Defense should be stacked though and we'll see what we have in goal.
I wouldn't be surprised id they fight for a playoff spot, or if they only get 70 points. We shall see.
Clayton Keller is going to be a beast.
Anyone want to do a TD fantasy league?

Been bouncing back and forth about picking up Keller on my fantasy league. Hard to tell if he's going to put up like 35 points or 60.

He's the best forward on the team. I know that might not be saying much, but he played amazingly in pre-season.

Heading to the Jackets' opener Friday. Can't wait. There's some great youth on the team, hopefully they get progressively better.
