My guess is that there will be further government control over the population. The establishment has been trying to herd the sheople into believing that we're all terrorist suspects. They're here to save us after all. Prepare yourself for more groping and surveillance in your travels.
Maybe that's why his background was scrubbed. Maybe they want us to believe this was some average everyday American born domestic terrorist and the government will save us by tightening the noose.
It will be interesting to see how the establishment/media herds us through this.
ETA: Looking at the bigger picture....why all the distractions? Hurricanes, earthquake, and now this.
What is going on behind the scenes that we're being distracted from?

The establishment is successfully taking the pressure off itself and squarely placing it on each other. They are successfully pitting us against one another. Obama did work in that area, and now Trump is continuing the establishment agenda, as planned.
