Tired of the Anthem kneeling? It's pretty simple

People want attention
News outlets want viewers/page views
Most people want to be pissed off about something
Stop being pissed off by the choices of people who aren't in your life. Stop clicking and sharing the links and the stories will go away causing attention whores to find another avenue.
You're welcome.

Being apathetic is not the answer .
This is a social movement in this country and if it goes unchallenged and unchecked it grows in strength and numbers.
The whole damn thing is based on a false narrative and it's gotten this far because it's largely been allowed to gain traction and legitimacy because many refuse to engage.
The debates need to happen. That side of the issue must be forced to represent its case with facts. Only one way that happens and it's not through apathy and letting it slide just so someone can get back to Facebook and Trashy Housewives of Wherever.

I want it to continue while I continue not watching. The moronic thugs are outing themselves. This is good for the country.

If Republicans weren't so scared of everything, this would be a much more productive country.

Stupidity sometimes needs to be ignored. This is one of those times.
"Guy I sometimes see on TV wants to kneel because the police are hunting black people? Ok."
That person has self identified as not very bright and not worth my anger. Someone I know or care about is confused about police killings of black people? Then I'll have the discussion.

Ok, but who does the forcing?
Most media won't
Friendly media kind of will, but they're full of shite and lack credibility too (FNC, etc.)
People on here will try, but nobody listens and they're prone to use fake news and celebrate dishonest narratives when it's in their interest
Trump will, but again, he's not above dishonesty and spreading false narratives and has a big credibility issue
Who is the target audience for the debates?

Anthem kneeling is one of the most easily ignorable protest forms I’ve ever seen. It’s been hilarious to watch the Trump crowd go out of their way to be offended by it.
Sorry this form of protest isn’t PC enough for the Trumpkins out there. Maybe they should write Goodell and ask him to put a trigger warning on NFL broadcasts to let them know when they should close and reopen their eyes.

Here's your attention for starting this thread.

I think it's us . As Americans .
Everyday somewhere we have these discussions with our fellow Americans.
If we don't understand or we are unaware of what's happening around us then we can't dissect it and defeat it and make no mistake , this lie needs to be defeated. It's insidious , sinister and dangerous to the future of our country.

What people should be afraid of is abuse of power. It definitely happens and should be protested when identified.
It's human nature. It has been repeated throughout history. It's why the government must remain in-check and limited. It's why I disagree with people like you that want to hand out power to the government like viagra at an old-folks home.

Incidentally, your recommendation is also the cure for Trump Derangement Syndrome.
It is comical to see the left claim that Trump mentioning the NFL/kneeling/anthem for 45 seconds at a rally and in a couple of tweets is him trying to distract the country from something.
It is the MSM, twitter bots, and mentally ill left that make every single thing Trump says into a big deal by screeching about it so loudly.
The best way to neutralize Trump is to ignore him.

You don't seem to be trolling or just talking to hear yourself, so my serious response:
I don't think this was much of a movement. Maybe last year, but nobody was paying too much attention this year. Kap was out of the league, nobody wanted to hire him, and while his not being hired stayed in the news, the kneeling thing didn't have any momentum.
Then Trump got into it, and I think there was rebellion against Trump. It took the form of kneeling, and everyone will say "we're exposing the crazy anti-American left" but I just fail to see how that matters when a) the people who think "we're exposing the crazy anti-American left" are rightwing voters, and b) half the country dislikes Trump.
As to your response above, I agree in theory, I just don't see how it's going to happen. Trump and Trump supporters will keep talking to their own segment of society about how destructive liberals are. The left will keep talking to itself about how Trump should be impeached. And anyone left who isn't polarized to one of these factions probably tunes them out.

Who's tired, OK? This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to EXPOSE Progessive Dems and the 90% of Blacks who support BLM/Antifa/Anti-Constitutional Ideologues who employ Racism as the wedge to divide, collapse/conquer and "fundamentally transform this Nation". It is forcing everybody to choose, and justify their choice. That is good...for a Free America.
Of course, the vast majority of Black Athletes are far to uneducated to 'justify' or much less even admit their (Racist) position; other than to jump on the 'White Privilege'/hate America (as Founded) wagon. And going there pretty much assures that their own 'priviledge' (marketable, Natural, physical talent) will become relatively, economically worthless in the Free Market. Though many do feel for the Urban nightmare that they (formerly) and many of their (racial) Brethren endure.
Eric Holder wanted a "conversation on Race"; well, He's got it. And it's got Him...and His ilk.
This is just the kickoff. This game is far from over. "Tired"...

Being apathetic stopped being the answer during Obama's administration.
This is another progressive stance to attempt and influence response level.
You cannot be apathetic. You have to respond with the same level of moral outrage.

I think the objective should be to cultivate an atmosphere of debate that is fact based and not some false narrative. I do think tnis particular protest is forcing that discussion because many protesting can't articulate why ...for long enough in this country many have quietly accepted arguments for change based entirely on emotion or some hidden agenda.
This pulls back the veil and exposes the agenda for what it is and when Americans realize , once again there is no substance ; it cripples that viewpoint a little more . I'm all for that outcome.

Yes.
You said it much more eloquently than me.

100% agree, but look who is driving the narrative on this for the right. Forget about your particular preferences, pro/anti-Trump, can we straightfaced say that Trump and his core group of support "cultivates an atmosphere of debate that is fact based"? Maybe on some things, certainly not on all.
I'm not saying that because it's hard we shouldn't do it, but I'm contrasting whether responding to something emotionally and stupid with an emotional and frequently stupid response is better than ignoring it - because that is what most seem to advocate on here. You're arguing for a rational debate in a society that simply isn't interested in that.

I think this is right in theory. But I think you need to pull back the veil from a point of moral authority. And I just don't see anyone who has that now.

You've had enough attention for one day I think. Don't want to get too much too soon.
