Park City skied pretty nice this weekend.

Was there for Sundance from 18-25 and the snow a night after we got there was awesome!

Download the OpenSnow app, or read the website. He does a Steamboat specific daily snow forecast that is pretty much the gold standard around here. Joel knows whats up.

Buff, if you aren't looking to hammer a bunch of chest-high moguls, run Iron Mountain + Dreamcatcher + Tombstone repeatedly. Some really fun stuff in that area and less traveled than main lifts.

Awesome thanks for the advice. Not much snow in the forecast for the next 10 days before we go. Hopefully something will change. Still looking forward to it.

Not liking the trend in the long term forecast today. Steamboat looks to be on the Southern edge of the storm track for the next week. Debating on throwing an audible and driving from Denver to JH instead of Steamboat. Would be more expensive and a lot longer drive but not having to ride groomers for a week would make it worth it.

I have family coming up for MG, so I’ll be skiing Sat - Tues.

Big Bad Baptist can still be found in liquor stores if you want to make a pit stop on the ride to PC.

Yea I've been thinking about which beers if any I'm going to be bringing with me on the ski trip. I've been to Park City twice but it's been a few years. Any particular places to pick up good beer in town?

I live on the North side of downtown, so I’m not as familiar with individual stores closer to the i80 corridor. Selection seems to be pretty consistent from locations I’ve visited though.

Telluride is being added to the Epic Pass in 2018-19.

It has been dumping in the Cascades pretty good this year. Have maybe 15 days so far between Stevens Pass, Crystal Mountain, and Alpental. Going to hit Mt Baker and Whistler before the season is over. Good 17-18 season.

Flying to Denver tomorrow and then driving to Steamboat and riding until next Thursday. If you see a snowboarder with orange pants and a white jacket say Hey. Praying Joel is right with the snow early next week so I can get at least 1 powder day.

Going to a wedding in Estes Park next wknd. My girlfriend is standing in the wedding and has things planned w the wedding party fri & Sat. I want to try to get at least one day on the slopes. What is the closest ski resort around there? Google is saying Eldora.

Are y'all staying in Estes?

Eldora would be the closest. Winter Park and Loveland would be my next choices.

Yea staying at Estes. I’ve skied winter park before and liked it well enough. Out of those 3 which would you recommend?

Yea man, I'm pretty bummed. But we already have everything planned so we will be coming. Glad I didn't buy my lift tickets yet. Will probably check it out Saturday and if it sucks, find something else to do Sunday and Monday. You have any ideas? We went snowmobiling one time and had a blast.

Never been to Eldora but I love Loveland and Winter Park.

Loveland is very low key, but still plenty of terrain. Kinda same thing with WP. Both give ya some amazing views of surrounding peaks.

Loveland you do have to go up towards the tunnel on I70 which can be a hassle with weekend ski traffic sometimes.

See if you can find somewhere to go dogsledding. Did it when I was 7 years old and have never forgot it.
