elitecollegefootball: LSU reportedly plans to begin running a 2-QB system between true freshman Myles Brennan and senior Danny Etling.

We have been down this path before
Golden Rule: When you have two QBs, you do not have one.
Wish them nothing but the best though

did we not do well with Flynn/Perriloux though in 2007?

It’s okay because we have no team any ways
I’m fine with this

Flynn was the man though, and RP was an all world talent. It was similar to 2006 with Leak and Tebow. The backup came in at strategic times, it wasn’t a 50/50 split like this sounds.
We put him in only up 11 and nearly lost.

Ugh, just put Etling out of his misery already.
I could understand a two QB system if they had different skill sets. That's not the case here though.
Etling's probably a smidge better than Brennan righ tnow but Brennan has the higher ceiling being a true freshman.
Get behind one guy and be done with it.

I'll be shocked if it's an actual 50/50 split

Yea this is retarded. It’s not a change of pace to swap a passer with another passer.

Could just mean that Myles is getting more comfortable in the system. We all know he will be an elite quarterback, and they want him to be slowly worked into the starting role.

I actually like this. Myles will have the reigns by end of year. Might as well prep him now

we have no option but a 2 QB system at this point.
I am sure it will shift to more of one than the other w time.
Myles may be great at some point, and has a quick release, but that same quick release could get him in trouble w any improper reading...he has not sen enough coverage variations yet.

I rather play Brennan now and have him ready for next year. I'm tired every year having a different quarterback. Let Brennan go through his freshman mistakes this year since we are not winning the west and have him ready for Miami next year in Dallas.

The rejects think Brennan is the next coming of Jesus lol.
Dude through 6 passes, once should have been a pick 6, but the LB dropped it and he threw a pick. 6 plays , should have been 2 picks.
We put him in and its a wrap. You might as well just forfeit the season.

I'm all for the freedom of information that O gives the fans but why in the hell would you announce this 4 weeks into the season?

With the lack of depth and what we have seen so far, do you think we are going to win the NC??? No. So let the future quarterback play and get more comfortable this year and make his mistakes now. Better than throwing him in next year with little experience

We will need two QBs, as our O line will send one of them to the hospital at some point

I think Brennan is good but people need to pump the brakes
I remember a thread over people wetting themselves over Brennan throwing a dump off pass to the RB and hey were like "what an amazing arm"

I don't think O should've gotten the gig but I support getting Brennan meaningful snaps.
As we saw last week there really isn't a perfect time to bring in the #2. But I'd rather Brennan take his lumps and learn this year than next.
