You live in fantasy land if you think the media or left in this country are interested in anything but hyperbole regarding Trump barring him taking a 180 and parroting their own rhetoric and submitting to their agenda.

Trump's job is to do and say what he believes is right not to make appeal after appeal to the unhinged left in naive pursuits of "uniting" a populace who has fundamental ideological divides.

Trump isn't laying down to leftist narratives and that's essentially what got him elected. If the right wanted a candidate who would lay down we'd have nominated Jeb and called it a day.

Nobody gives a frick that your parents or grandparents served in the military.

They all did back in those days.

Yours, mine,everyone's.

But thanks for your weak attempt at concern trolling.

Don't you mean Third Army? Lt. General Courtney Hodges was the commander of the First Army.

I come from an Army family that includes an 82nd Airborne "All American" father who jumped into WWII on D-Day, and an uncle that drove his tank across France in Patton's 1st Army all the way to the Battle of Bulge. I don't like kneeling for the Star Spangled Banner. Bothers me.

Bothers me too- I don't want the players round up and gassed like the prisoner camp folks my grandfather help save in Germany

I just don't want them to get an money I can control them getting.

There's no "uniting" with that shite.

If only we had in the real world more uniters who avoided insulting and berating... like the posters here.

The GOP ran that the last two elections and they got their teeth kicked in while prog filth kept ramping up the SJW bullshite and bullying conservatives.

The time for statesmanship is not necessary right now when we need to grind them into the fricking ground and reclaim America from these assholes.

Silently kneeling is berating you?

I'm sure you guys used this same narrative during the civil rights protest in the 60s

Hey dude, there was no flame in my post, just another opinion on how Trump is failing at leading a democracy and is advancing culture and race conflict in the US. Your mean spirited comments indicate that you are an angry and sad person on the key board. FYI, and like my dad, I also was in the 82nd Airborne (AA), but my service was not as noteworthy as my relatives who helped to knock off another ill-tempered, ego-maniac 75 years ago.

You think a President should be supportive of people disrespecting our country on its biggest sports stage? I'm sorry but that's such a loser opinion to have.

Constantly comparing Trump to Hitler will not get you any sympathy and good faith in political discussion, just mocking and ridicule in response.

In fact, it's a litmus test for political insanity and you're an insane idiot if you truly believe that Trump is Hitler.

Totally didn't say Trump was genocide murderer like Hitler. I only stated that both have short tempers and big egos which is true.

Hitler was so short tempered and egoistic enough that he conquered Europe and brutally murdered six million jews in cold blood and you say that Trump has that as well? GTFO.

Saying they both have short tempers and and big egos is a nasty and horrible insult to Hitler's victims and people who support Trump in good faith.

A) Obama set that bar.

B) There is no uniting this country. There is too much power and wealth at stake for whichever party has power.

This is the result of having a national government that is way, WAY bigger in size and power than was originally intended.

We voted for this shite show, now we get to wallow in it.

My post was not to compare Obama to Trump -- neither are statesmen. That's my whole point. America is crying for a "leader's leader" who could unite polarized sides. Kneeling down during the Anthem is not a player protest to the flag, but instead a protest by a few (on a big stage) on the widening gap among races, police and minority communities, and the venomous ethic profiling that is proliferating. Great leaders calm this shite down - not put jet fuel on it like Trump did and does. Remember General Honoree when he got on the ground in New Orleans? He took control and got people thinking right.
