LSU student arrested for fighting on the parade grounds last Saturday

An LSU student was arrested Thursday after police said he attacked two men at an on-campus tailgate Sept. 9, swinging a tent pole and punching one man in the head, according to an arrest report.
LSU police said 20-year-old Kaleb Cole Faul approached two men around 6 p.m. at a tailgate on the campus' Parade Grounds. Faul pushed one man before grabbing a tent pole and swinging it "in a malicious manner," according to his arrest report.
Faul then punched the other man in the head until his friends pulled him away, according to the report.
The victim told police that he needed three stitches to repair the cut on his ear and that he was now having a hard time hearing.
One of the victims told police he knew Faul "through fraternity brothers at the Theta Xi house," but LSU spokesman Ernie Ballard was unable to say if Faul or the victims were members of the fraternity. Ballard said at least one of the two victims was an LSU student.
Faul, of 17443 Karen Drive, Prairieville, was booked into Parish Prison Thursday on a count of second-degree battery. He was released the same day.

I'd be surprised if Kaleb was a member. Theta Xi used to be a fairly conservative and nerdy fraternity. Not the kind of place you'd expect to see guys who would attack people on the parade grounds. Of course this was 15 years ago and things change.
