Game Day Parking Info

Guess I should have looked before today, but LSU has once again, pushed free parking even further out. For those of you who had been parking in the Levee Lot, that is now a new Motorhome lot and whatever Lot 413 now is. There still seems to be the Hayfield, but I have no clue how you can get to it if you have to go through the new pay lots and it may now mean you are contraflow in the wrong direction if your goal is to get on I-10 West.
Just a little FYI for those who may not have known and were about to leave...

Just had the discussion with neighbor headed out to campus. Parking has gotten atrocious over the last several years. Even when you pay the $500/year and show up 5 + hours before game, some sections are already full then the lot attendant tries to direct you towards some area which is another miles away bordering on free parking.
LSU apparently will continue to erode the game day conveniences, parking and tailgating spaces as every new year goes by. CEBA is a perfect example - used to be a great area with parking and is now taken over by those ugly looking modern buildings and years of construction.

You get in the Hayfield off of Gourrier.
I was just talking to my brother and we both seem to be at crossroads on whether we want to continue coming to the games after this season. This parking situation has us all fricked up.

every lot has passes sold for that lot. you are guaranteed a spot SOMEWHERE in the lot. or are you talking about some pay per game first come first serve parking in a certain space? still if you bought a pass for that game you SHOULD have a spot SOMEWHERE in that lot. That makes no sense what you are saying.

Maybe LSU took direction from the airline industry. They've pulled this scam for years.

Nope - happened 3xs last season and paid my $500 per season for the lot. Had to argue and fight with the attendant then park in a spot that they had marked off for "construction" as unavailable.

Parking not the issue - its leaving from that area headed down Hwy 30. Traffic is worst in 20 years of going to games. No one knows how to direct traffic anymore. They let the lights cycle the traffic while sitting in vehicles or talking about whatever.

That too - should not take 90 minutes + to get from campus to I - 10
