Can we finally put the Jimbo Fisher love fest to pasture?

Jimbo is not much different than Les Miles coming to a powerhouse program, and leeching off its prowess. The Coach O haters were all in from the beginning for Fisher as though he is some kind of guru. He ain't.

GOOOOOOOO TIGERS!!!!!!! GOOOOOOOO COACH O!!!!!

Yep.

One great season with a heisman QB, and a bunch of good seasons.

ETA: plus, many seem to forget that we couldn't wait for Jimbo to leave when he was here.

He turned around what was a stale program.

As a fan base, you have to admit we run pretty hot and cold with lightning fast switches between the two on coaches.

On one set of downs, you can see LSU fans calling for a coaches head, then wanting him to get a raise

Jimbo is a great coach, but let's be real, Saban is just better. Same story, different year.

If we use the same method to compare a career then why is Coach O getting a pass?

Some fans just have a man crush. Saban, fisher, and now herman. Theses same people prolly got a participation soccer trophy some time in their childhood

I really don't think anyone hates O, it was more of just wanting a coach that has won before. I will admit though that O is off to a fantastic start and things look pretty damn good right now. It was so refreshing to see a team that looked crisp and organized.

Do people really think O is a better coach than Jimbo?

Didn't realize Jimbo made those special teams errors deep in their own territory...

I was in for Jimbo and CEO second. Never was on the Herman bandwagon. The one thing that is missing is the Alleva haters. I dont care one way or another about Joe. But since the Wade hiring, now the Herman swoon, and Jimbo's eight year program build that got squashed as bad as any LSU team in the past 6 yrs the Alleva haters have washed away for the time being...

I'll always love Jimbo, and wanted him as coach.

but we got O, and I think he can do well. now let's get some bubble screens going, Canada.

I don't know if you are really serious, but Jimbo has won 82% of his games and averaged 11+ wins for 7 yrs. The 5 yrs before his arrival at Fla. St. they had averaged 5+ L's a yr.

It's fine to not want him at LSU, but to deny that he has been a highly successful coach is just silly.

Lol. Will you say it's time to put O to pasture when Bama beats us this year? He lost last year and this year so it's basically the same thing. The difference is FSU will probably run the table or lose at most one more game. LSU loses 2-3 more besides Bama.
When you're facing a team with the best athletes in the nation coached by one of the best coaches in the history of college football, then losing doesn't mean your coach is garbage. Clemson beat Bama, but does that mean that Dabo Swinney is a better coach than Saban? No. It means his team played better and made fewer mistakes in that one game. If those two teams played 10 games, Bama would win 6 or 7 because Saban would make better adjustments with his athletes.
