By most measures, my life has been pretty interesting.

I've lived out of the country for years at a time.

I've done every drug under the sun.

I've been with women from almost every country in western Europe, Australia, and Asia. Being a bartender/owner on the tourist trail gives you those opportunities.

I've owned companies and sold them.

I even ghostwrote two books.

I've lived the life.

But none of it seems that interesting. It's just life.

What defines a life well lived? What makes a life worth living?

Bragging and basking in your own glory. (That's the OT answer)

If I understand the question, the answer is subjective. It depends on the person.

Live casting a category 4 hurricane from a car wash as the building collapses on you, all the while a little blue shed in the distance stands mightily, like a knight in the night. That makes for an interesting life.

The drug thing is boring and cliche, and actually leads to the opposite of an interesting life.

The women thing of course, is great-- but then again, if you bang too many of them, you could get herpes.. so like a lot of things, it's a double edged sword.

I'd say travel and/or living in different places is one of the top things that helps one to be interesting; I'm a firm believer that people should move away from wherever theyre originally from (esp the South) at least for a little while, or else you get trapped in that same world view and never see alternate viewpoints.

You've done all this superficially cool stuff, yet you're still here unfulfilled and asking questions.

I'd offer that the depth of a meaningful experience fills the soul more than the breadth of a bunch of surface-level experiences.

You're gonna have to find a mate and frick some kids into her and raise those little frickers.

A 57 Cadillac
Having to raise bail, once or twice
A jealous husband
A dangerous hobby
Rehab
People like you
Kids and dogs love you
The past makes you smile, like a deep dark secret no one else will get
A couple of scars
Many former employers
A sense of adventure that overrides the craving for security

Your list is kinda lame

- See the Northern Lights in Iceland
- Suba Dive, well too many places to list
- Roll off your bed into the water in Bora Bora
- Climb Mount Everest
- Hang out with Blue Shed
- Ski Jump in the Olympics

I could go on, but there are much more exciting things to do than what you listed.

To whom?

We get but one life (that we know of.) Will we get to live another? I'm a firm believer in understanding the life you're given and doing the most to realize that. But, I've not discounted that we can make tremendous changes in who we are and who we can become.

My tenth grade teacher once told me, "You're an eternal optimist." I hate labeling, but I can't deny it: I believe when you believe in yourself -- good things happen.
