Saw this article earlier. This really should be ignored. Are there men/women who come back changed? Of course. It's a good reminder of why choosing to go to war is such an awesome responsibility. Using those soldiers to further your narrative... that's low.

If anything, becoming a veteran made my old man less racist. He's not perfect about it, but before the Army, like a lot of dumb southern high schoolers in the 60's, he really didn't like blacks. Serving with them changed his views to an extent.
